July Update! (Patreon)

Good evening, everyone! C. H. Darkstrider here with the monthly update! I know this update has been a long time coming, especially since there was no update last month. There is a good reason for why this was, which I will outline here! So, without anymore beating around the bush, let’s get into it!

First item on the list is the pictures of Kasumi I posted a few weeks ago. For people who may be wondering if I commissioned an artist to do these photos and the ones dropping later today, know that I didn’t hire anyone. I did them. Yes, those images of Kasumi were done by me! Simply put, images like that are what my secret project has been all about!

I’ve been working on and studying how to do 3D artwork and the results thus far have been amazing!! I’m still working on the images I have of Kasumi and am still learning much about the program I used to create the rendering. It’s taking me longer than I’d like, but as with anything worthwhile, it takes time and effort to get it done right! More images will be on the way and soon, of both SFW and NSFW images as my skillset increases! Not just of Kasumi, but of every character I have created and written about!

Next on the list is the stories I write and the rate at which I am delivering them. I know that some folks have been a bit concerned about the pace at which I am delivering them. I have noted your concerns and allow me to allay them; things will be proceeding back to my regular schedule. The things that have been slowing me down is quite simple; me trying to do too damn much!

With so many things that I want to do, it has been a bit of a madhouse for me! So, I have decided to take a step back from all the extras at the moment and focus on my stories and artwork. I know I have a lot of things I promised, like the podcast, new stories, additional side stories, spinoffs, and my eventual return to doing an audiobook format of my story chapters. Sadly, until more time is freed up for such projects, they will have to be put on hold for now.

Just because they are on hold doesn’t mean they won’t get done. It’s merely a matter of having enough support to be able to thumb my nose at the day job. That way, all that time spent at my job can be focused on my stories and the extra goodies instead! Honestly, I would love to do that right now! But it’s not something I can afford to do just yet. While I aspire to match titans like Tefler and Sakimichan in the earnings department, I still have a ways to go.

Wishing won’t get it done and neither will hemming and hawing about it. Still have a lot of work to do to reach said heights and I’m not stopping until I get there! Even then, don’t expect me to rest on my laurels, as doing such things is what ends great writers and artists. Me, I’m the sort of guy who will keep going, even after I have reached my goals, because there is nothing more annoying to me than an unfinished story. Every story I start will be written and be finished, that much I promise.

Well, that about does it for this month’s update! I just want to thank everyone who continues to support me and my dream of writing full time! Without you, many of these stories would have stayed inside my head and for that, I thank you all! The pandemic may be largely over, but I still hope everyone is being safe out there! Cheers!
