Good afternoon everyone! C.H. Darkstrider here with the latest update! I have some new things I’d like to bring up in this update, along with some additional news of how things will be going forward! So, without any further ado, let’s get into it!

First off, I wanted to bring up the bit about how often these updates will be coming from now on. I know that folks have gotten used to updates coming at monthly intervals, but the thing is, there isn’t as much happening on a monthly basis. Aside from the regular chapter releases and the usual stack of events that happen in my day to day life, I have decided to make it more of a bi-monthly update. While things can and sometimes do happen, which warrant an update every month, for the foreseeable future, they will be coming at two month intervals from here on out.

Next, I wanted to bring up the amount of chapters that I am releasing and just what I am doing to handle that. Well, I realized that by doing four chapters of every main story every month isn’t going to work. Not with me holding down a full-time job anyways. So, until such time that I can walk away from my job, I have decided to cut that back to three stories as my mains, with the others being side pieces.

What that means is that every month, my main focus will be getting the three main stories that folks are here for, released each month. Those stories will be Project Prometheus, Gaia’s Champion and Tales of the Wastelander. Those three will be the main focus of my efforts. What about the other stories I am telling? They will still be released, but at a slower pace than the main three.

Some months you may see a chapter of Wings of Fire, other months it will be Return of the Blood Reaver, or one of Beyond Sight. There will be additional episodic shorts of Walking on the Darkside and like the others, I will work on it when time permits. Any way you slice it, that is how my story releases will be working from here on out.

I know some folks who have become fans of these other tales won’t like this, but that’s the way it has to be for now. At least until I can walk away from my day job, which I still need at the moment.

Thirdly, some of you might be wondering, ‘This new story, Beyond Sight. Where in the hell did that one come from?!?’ Well, the answer to that is simple. I wrote this story a while ago and it was doing all right. But I zigged when I should have zagged in the arc and direction this story was going and it started going down the rabbit hole.

So, because of the fan reception of this tale, I had to shelve it and come back to it later. Plus, at the time, the story got away from me in a sense and it took me a while to figure out how to rein it back in. Now that I’ve figured out how to do that, I am currently reworking and retooling the story to fit a much better narrative. So, expect to see more of these chapters re-released soon!

Next topic of discussion is the stories I release, or more specifically, what I charge for them. Some folks have gone so far as to say that I should be charging by the chapter, as a few people on the page are only here for one specific story. While I could do that, charging by the chapter, and make a fair bit of money changing things up like this, I simply won’t do it.

Some folks might be asking why and have even gone on to cite that literary titans like Tefler have done so. Tefler is able to do this, because he is only writing one story at any given time. I am writing no less than seven separate stories now and if I was to charge by the chapter, that would make me a greedy prick and I have no desire to become that. My only true desire is to be able to write full time and keep spinning awesome tales for my fans to read, not to wring them for every penny they have.

So, my stories will keep coming here, as they have, for one low price to gain access to all of them. I know what it is like to be taken advantage of, which is why I never do such a thing to anyone I meet or know of. Least of all, my fans who support and love my work, who are the ones that helped me get this far! To all of you here, new and old, I thank you for your support so that I can continue to write as I do!

Well, that about wraps it up for this update! We made it out of the pandemic! I hope that everyone is well and that your lives are getting back to normal, whatever your normal may be! Again, I want to thank everyone here who takes the time and effort to support me in my writing endeavor and here’s to writing full time, someday soon! Cheers everyone!

All of us who enjoy your stories Maestro, would do well to remember that there is also things happening around you that will sometimes affect your abillity to write and post chapters on here. It is better to go slow and steady rather than fast & furious, since that will put you at risk for hitting the wall hard. Take your time to do it right and we will celebrate every chapter as they come out.
