There's no more Dungeon Meshi Thursdays for the foreseeable future and I'm SOOOO SAD. I told myself I had to wait until Season 1 was over before I let myself read all of the manga, so its time to dive in.

My friends and I like to talk about what fantasy races we would be in D&D and the unanimous consensus is always that I am an elf. Being Marcille just feels right! I'm trying to get over being a picky eater, I can never decide on just one hairstyle, and I would do forbidden magic to save my friends. But can we talk about how beaauuutiful these shots are??? I love the color grading and the soft glow from the lighting. It feels magical!

Marcille is a costume I bought and then modified. I really loved the quality that Miccostumes was offering, and was busy crunching to finish Sephiroth so I decided to buy this time. I did some modifications by adding some aesthetic stitching along the hems and around the shawl to give it a cartoon-y look. I also took fabric paint and tried to give some depth along the edges and where the pleats lay. I think if I were to change anything I would just go darker with the colors for an added contrast.

Staff construction! I'll have another post about how I made the staff up later, but its just a pole, a foam ring, and 2mm craft foam! Very lightweight and sturdy.
