I finally got back the photos from our shoot at ACEN! This was a shared duo shoot so I only got a few photos of my costume, but I think they’re fantastic!

I spent a long time on this costume because it’s filled with so many small details I wanted to perfect. I had to make 3 12-foot belts and decorate them with individual patterns. The belt buckles were all 3D printed and then painted by me. I had bought a base trench coat and then altered it to give it his snatched look, and spent like, 8 whole hours with a knife distressing the fabric to make it look battle worn. The shoulder pauldrons were made with craft foam- I was worried because the pattern was definitely meant for someone much bigger than me, but I think the overdsize helps add to the spooky silhouette.

I didn’t have time to make the sword and also wasn’t sure how I’d transport it- but if I shoot this costume again that’s absolutely how I’m going to upgrade this.
