Ginny Construction (Patreon)

One of the things I wanted to figure out for making my pants for Ginny was how to get the pinstripes! I really didn't want to have to sew a whole pair with all those stripes, and then I got some inspo from Arcane cosplayers! A friend let me borrow her airbrush kit and I spent a few days striping!

  It took a little trial and error to get the colors perfect, I'd never used an airbrush before. But I really love how it came out, and then I was able to add dimension to the rest of my clothing pieces as well! I want to keep doing this in the future, but I need to be less afraid of going super dark with my values. I'm really excited to keep trying.

 I think the pinstripe method can work if you are using fabric paint instead of airbrush paint! It might just be a little more tedious, and you want to use masking tape that has really nice hold. Starting with a light base and building color on top (going from white, to pink, to purple in this case) gave me a really nice depth of color and some dimension to the clothes.
