Possible removal of the comms tiers. (Patreon)

I'm thinking about removing those tiers or making slight changes, I'll get everyone in those tiers refunded or if you prefer the comm first.The main reason I will be changing the tiers, is because the amount of time I had to put in those comms was not worth the little amount I charged for them 10$ for a comm that took 2 -3 hours to complete is just an outright deal, but for me it isn't.I know it's sounds greedy on my part, but i'm only human and I get tired/fed up too.I just truly hate being taken advantage of especially when people want alts on said monthly comms which they thought they were entitled to.I'm truly sorry if you were hoping to get in those tiers, but I still will be taking comms.

It doesn't sound greedy at all Stef. I follow a lot of artists and keep an eye on their work, and you work harder than any I have seen. You release so many renders and commissions that I don't know how you are even able to get any sleep. Anyway please take care of yourself you are awesome Stef.

Do what’s best for you Stef, $10 for 2-3 hours of work is laughable especially for work of your quality. You know your worth better than anyone. Hell, If it were me I would’ve charged them extra for “alts” lmaoo everyone knows why we’re here

It's not greedy at all! You deserve to make enough money to not just survive while grinding your ass off on comms, but live comfortably and have enough money, time off and leftover energy for non-work activities too :) You could remove the cheaper comm tiers and adjust the price on the highest one so it makes financial sense or even make it slightly more expensive than "normal" comms, since it's essentially a reserved comm slot. But every time I got a "normal" comm from you, the process was good imo, so the comm tiers might not be required at all. Either way, I think it's good to see you adjusting your prices to the current state of *gesture broadly* 😅

No worries Stef, $10 is absurdly low cost so it's understandable you might be getting a bit down regarding the return on time investment. As the other comments have pointed out, you have every right to charge what is financially viable and sensible for you so don't feel bad about raising the price to what you feel works for you. Hope you're doing okay, don't let any negative comments get you down, you're awesome!

For creators who take content creation seriously, I believe that adequate pricing is the most important prerequisite. Therefore, I support your decision to increase the price of commission levels.

it's crazy that you even charged that little, especially if you live in the US. I know like 2 other artist that charge that and they live in a country where the USD mogs their currency.

It's only a good deal when BOTH parties are satisfied. Working yourself to the bone for a measly 10 bucks isn't worth it. Feeling like you're getting stiffed is gonna affect your work and will ultimately make it worse for everyone involved. A satisfied artist is a great artist. You should definitely charge more if you want to carry on with commissions, 10 bucks is ridiculous for the kind of quality you produce.

I 100% think you shouldn't have the tiers, 10-15 dollars is far too low. How many patrons even had that price locked in? Like a dozen at most, no? You'd make more with only doing a few commissions at a variable price through your DMs, depending on the amount of work needed. I've said it before and I'll say it again - please feel free to rework your tiers to charge a little more if you need to. Add a new tier just for Yaoi to get less evil people in your DMs complaining about content. Increase the BBC tier to $5 and minimize those public posts to get less butthurt people messaging you. Please do whatever you need to do to earn a living AND be stress free. This year another person I follow removed their $10 plan to get a story commission ever month. I was the only one left at that price, and had been a loyal patron for 7 years. I didn't complain about it, I said "hey, thanks for letting me be your patron for years, I completely understand that the tier is stressing you out and that you can easily charge triple for the same amount of work." He had a month's long backlog of story commissions for at minimum $30 for a small chapter, but was still giving me a chapter every month for minimum wage. I understood completely why he had to reach out and cut me off. I hope your current 10-15-20 dollar patrons bring the same energy. If they don't, that's on them, not you.
