Difficult topic to try and explain to young pups, how do you think it will go?

That sweet 2nd panel, and the 6th one as well. It's good for Ronja to discuss this, and I'm hoping they listen well ❤️

I'm a little worried they might be upset, but I hope they understand

It's always a saddening thing when children have to learn it's unsafe to blindly trust someone. 😔 Innocence, lost.

They are growing up into beautiful young ladies. I hope they aren't upset over the truth about their father.

Rheanna

On the one hand, they might struggle to understand because they’ve never had a reason not to trust “family”, but on the other, they have no fake “happy” memories of Ranach to make them doubt what Ronja is saying, either.

I think it can go either way depending on what she tells them exactly. I hope if she mentiond he tried to hurt/kill Rogio and Kargo, as well as the rest of MT, they will be angry at ranach for his past actions and understand he is to never be trusted and to be avoided or if running is impossible, attacked on sight.

The girls are so grown up now. I felt a sense of pride seeing them. ;-; As far as how this will go, i've dealt with a similar situation and it wasn't pleasant. I had to find my own way and learned the hard way. I just hope that these girls will believe their mom and take her word for it. I have a feeling Naeva will, Sumersaga will be torn, and Elvind might shrug it off. Also I just realized, honestly, outside the moment they were born, we haven't heard their names be called at all (outside mentioning to Johaan I believe?) -- not even their nicknames! I wonder why that is?

A heavy, yet necessary topic. They seem grown enough to hopefully understand. Otherwise hope they ask questions to understand. And maybe talk between each other what they think about it all.

Ronja and Fraujar are my favorite pairing. Their relationship feels so organic, and you can tell they love each other to bits. In regards to the impending discussion about Ranach…I think there’s so many ways this could go that I’m almost hesitant to make a prediction. I hope they see all their mom’s been through and have heard some of the whispers to know he’s a bad dude, but I get the feeling at least one of them may actually want to get to know him if given the opportunity.

Unfortunately the topic is quite relevant. I have a 4 year old daughter and feel it necessary that she knows monsters can look like people too, kind and friendly ones. Some can even look like family. Eager to see how this discussion goes.

Hmm… Well, while I hope that this will go well, I can easily see it going horribly wrong, honestly. It is definitely a difficult discussion to have with young pups, but nonetheless, it’s obviously very necessary. They need to understand that their father was/is a monster, who manipulated and abused their mother for his own selfish motives. Unfortunately, I’m worried that at least one of these pups might get the idea to meet Ranach for themselves, possibly to see if he is really as bad as their mother says; especially if they somehow later meet him and he puts off a facade of being a “loving father who never got the chance to meet them due to their mother’s lies”. In this situation, I could easily see Ranach manipulating his daughters similarly to how he manipulated their mother, and he could turn them against Ronja, with the right words and circumstances (say, if the pups wander off from home and are somehow “saved” by Ranach when/if they run into danger). Now, obviously, I really hope that something like this doesn't happen, but… I could see it. Ranach is a master manipulator, after all, and he can definitely appear “charming” and “innocent” when needed… and especially to young, impressionable pups who just happen to be his daughters. With the right words and actions, I can’t see it being very hard for him to “sway them to his side”, so to speak, even despite the love and trust that they obviously have for their mother; especially if Ranach somehow ends up looking like the “good guy”, in their eyes… now obviously this is all hypothetical, and I really hope it doesn’t come to this, but something tells me that they *will* meet Ranach, eventually… regardless of how that will turn out, I just can’t help but feel like a meeting between them is inevitable, even if it’s much later, such as after they become adults. =/
