My power/cheat was that of high-end technology being within my grasp. But what remained was simple. What did I want to do with my cheat was the question?

I had three major paths I could see for myself and my cheat power. First the Satisfactory part of mining up basically endless resources was ignored as I worked to invest all my time and technology into myself to make myself into a living genetic god with cyberwar installed to take care of whatever weaknesses remain. While probably becoming an Edgerunner of sorts

Second, I focus on taking advantage of my cheats and create my own Corporation that will use advanced technology that I could pull upon from my Inspired Inventor cheat that will give me points that will with the spending of the points I get over time, the knowledge of advanced science and other things.

I mean other things because it could also give knowledge on martial arts, and many other things. But the cheat specifically couldn't give you magical energy in any way.

My third path basically boiled down to me doing a bit of both while I focused more on getting a hold of the Biotics I inherited as being part of this universe of Mass Effect/Cyberpunk.

I held up a hand as I frowned as I realized I had little idea how to properly make use of my biotics before I looked at my store of points in the Inspired Inventor. From there I saw I had ten points total right now... So I took five of the points and then pushed them for one concept.

[Mass Effect Manipulation-Cyberware/Catalysts]

And I shivered feeling alien knowledge that swiftly fitted into my mind and suddenly it all... Just fucking made sense, eezo or element zero was created in a vacuum of matter going beyond the scale that it became anti-matter basically.

So in the vein of controlling and manifesting a Mass Effect through my internal biotics I could make Biotic-Amps to enhance my the Element Zero that was naturally being produced by my body in being used to create Mass Effect fields.

And the operation of Mass Effect fields and Eezo required me to do something very complicated which is why humans almost always needed amps and cyber wear to allow them to properly doing space magic shit.

To make a Mass Effect Field, I needed to be able to control my internal bio-electrical field to activate the eezo within myself to create dark energy that was the result of my body's internal electrical system interfacing with the element zero within myself.

"Now let's get to work," I muttered as I took the Omni-Tool and I used another point from the Inspired Inventor to get the schematics and programming for the Auto Doc from... Well the Fallout Universe, but although I could theoretically get one here, I didn't want to trust anything that I didn't personally make at this point.

So using the Omnigel, I followed the blueprints of the Auto Doc to create the large fully autonomous operating machine that could safely remove and replace people's brains safely! Literally could remove a person, heart, spine, brain, and stomach in a single surgery without any issue.

I needed that surety if I was going to trust a machine to perform surgery on my ass!

Hours passed by and I could feel exhaustion creeping in as the Auto Doc was completed and after loading the thing up with some pain meds... I decided it was no or never if I wanted to become an accomplished space wizard.

So I got into the Auto Doc which hummed with a loud roar as the specific tiny... Very tiny cold fusion reactor came to life as it began turning some hydrogen atoms past their ignition and annihilation point while keeping them stable so they could become atoms of Dark Matter and be used to create Eezo which would be used in the amps being installed across my back.

'Fuck it... Make my amps look good.' I thought with a smile as I input the design for Madara Uchiha's Mangekyou Sharingan which would glow purple under my skin when I activated the amps to augment my biotics.

Was it completely a hopeless weeb move? Probably but I didn't give a shit, it was my body and I frankly wished I had a Sharingan anyway... Would make dealing with people that had a sandy a lot more doable anyway.

Either way, I relaxed as the Auto-Doc closed around my body with my vision going dark as a visor went over my eyes to protect them as blindingly bright lights kicked on to kill any germs in the area with powerful ultra violet waves.

And then as a pinch went into my wrists as the bracelet monitor administered my meds I was out within a minute before the Auto Doc went to work on my body.

I awoke... God knows how long later with my body facing the wrong way as the Auto Doc has seemingly spun around the internal operating table and myself. And as I got up I felt a lightness in my back as the Bio-Amps hummed to life as I focused on them.

I held up a hand... And my hand glowed a deep dark purple with wavy essence flowing off it and I hummed as I realized I would need to train with my biotics a good bit before I could be a true space wizard.

Either way, I could do some interesting things now like blasting people with compressed gravity and do some other things that had to do with bending space-time over my knee.

"Alright... Now that I have Biotics to protect myself, I need some discreet armor and a weapon." I mused as I realized a Mass Effect would do just fine as they were all basically high-end railguns basically.

So in that vein, in not want to be running around in a giant suit of armor or whatever as I wanted to keep a low profile. I used the Omni-Tool to recreate the M-5 Phalanx heavy pistol and for armor... I had to sink another point of Inspired Inventor to learn miniaturization and hard-light technology.

So using the rest of my Omni-Gel I created a thick 'leather' looking jacket that was actually a weave of optical emitters that could create a bubble of panels. That was hard light projections around me that could withstand a fuck load of pressure and abuse even if it couldn't stay up for more than three minutes.

"When I get another point in the Inspired Inventor I need to get the technology for Arc Reactors." I mused as I took a breath and got ready.

As I needed to go back into the world, and get a fuck load of money to collect special shit I couldn't waste my Inspired Inventor points on the local cyber implants. And of course collected a lot of basic materials so I could make more Omni-Gel.

Hell, I needed a bunch of biomass as well for when, I inevitably got shot and needed a pick-me-up in Medi-Gel... Getting Bio-mass in Cyberpunk without mulching another human being was...

I quickly used my fucking Omni-Tool to get on the web and after a quick search, I learned something fucking stupid. "There ain't no goddamn animals at all in Night City!"

The city had gone out of its way to outlaw all pets, it was illegal to have chickens and all birds were literally fucking killed by lasers installed atop the corpo buildings so the birds couldn't spread their diseases!

"Literally all the biomass in this city is just humans! They even irradiate the sewers to kill any rats inside of there as well!" I yelled in exasperation and facepalmed in irritation at this bullshit.

So with a sigh, I put my oversized pistol in my jacket holster, and with a deep breath I left my apartment and went to use the elevator to get to the ground floor.

But as I got onto the elevator, with a couple other people coming in as well. I raised an eyebrow as my neighbor Gloria pushed onto the elevator as well with her giving me a wry smile as the packed elevator didn't give us much personal space.

Thankfully the elevator ride was quick... And I got out easily enough with Gloria walking the same way as me with us naturally starting a conversation. "So you didn't dare go out to see the night life of Night City?" Gloria asked teasingly.

I shook my head with a wry smile and said plainly. "Nope, you gave good enough reason not to. Anyway, I am working as an engineer of sorts, what do you do for a living?"

She raised an eyebrow and said calmly. "I am an EMT, so if you got some spare Eddies and... Got hurt or sick you can give my door camera a ring and I can get to later in the day."

I blinked at her pausing and I realized why she was acting a bit off as she likely realized I was all organic so it wasn't like she could reattach any cybernetic limbs I had should they be cut off or something.

But in that vein... I had a thought. "Hey, do you know any good Ripper Doc's I need to chip in a data slot and input wire," I mentioned the slots people typically had around their necks for where they would keep their data cards which was their online identity and acted as their physical key to their bank account.

Gloria actually blinked before she sniffed and said with amusement. "Unless you are trying to do some deep web shit and are trying to get into Netrunning, you can get anything from low to high-end Neuroports installed at any hospital for cheaper frankly."

I shrugged and then said honestly. "I... Actually just want to buy the Neuroports themselves. I am curious about them and want to do my own looking into them."

Gloria shrugged and then smiled as a bus swung across the giant hab block and she said. "Whelp good luck with that Jake. I got work for the next twelve odd hours. Stay out of the alleyways unless they have armed guards you hear!"

And with that Glora went off to the bus which likely was going to take her to work I imagine and after a moment of thought I decided to simply get my Omni-Gel, and then from there I planned on using my Omni-Tool to break down a mass of electronics to get some materials to sell.

As I wanted some liquid funds in Eurodollars to play with before I started buying shit.

So I went straight to the hab-blocks garbage shute area and after putting a mask over my face that was soaked in some disinfectant. I began throwing all the shit into my omni-tool to be processed into Omni-Gel after disabling the camera within the trash area.

And in doing so I made sure to process the metals separately so after a while I found some heavier metals I sealed up... And I paused as I found something not so pleasant. "Well shit..." I muttered shuddering.

As I found the corpse of what was surely a dead hooker that obviously had been strung the fuck out as I could see in the elbows of her arms were completely black from poisoning her veins with drugs and I clinically noticed she had died by strangulation and then if that didn't kill her, being crushed by literal tons of trash did it.

"Whelp... I don't need to go buy a Neuroport anymore." I muttered as my Omni-Tool came to life with a hard light scalpel forming on the end of my pointer finger.

I took a deep breath as I swallowed down my disgust and I carved the dead hooker open. Removing the Neuroport from her neck and connector cable interface system from her wrists. And after a bit of thought, I checked her eyes and realized I hit the jackpot as she also had synthetic eyes so I took them as well.

'Dear fucking god, I have become a literal Scav.' I thought with disgust as I drowned the retrieved cyber tech in disinfectant after putting it into a plastic bag as I knew I needed to get back and begin studying the technology so I could use better materials and technology to amplify its effects.

Mostly I needed to use this technology as a base so I could interface with this world's technology... It didn't matter if I could make an arc reactor-powered suit of power armor that could flatten Adam Smasher, if I literally didn't have the right coding method to interface with this world's own technology.

But hey... If David Martinez could get half his shit from the corpses of his allies and family. I could loot a single dead hooker. I mean this world was basically GTA with implanted super power anyway.

Flaashii

We Need more Cyberpunk and I Think his own corporation sounds good of course personal power is first and almost all cyberpunk tics do the whole edgerunner thing we need something else too someone replacing arasaka and the others 🤔

Hmm is it time

Thanks for the chapter looking forward to more. And I agree with Flaashii more cyberpunk but while a corpo backing sounds good it's easier said than done by like a lot. After all the corporations don't appreciate some new Corp taking there business and everything has a Corp behind it in cyberpunk. Not to mention it takes an insane amount of money to make a corp. If Jake just starts having endless resources for a new corp without cash trail the other corps will get suspicion and investigate if they find out he can get endless resources he will have to kill every corp because thay will stop at nothing to own him.

If you didn’t kill her yourself your just recycling, but then if you do it to scavs your doing a karmic act

Loghead101

I think that in the end Jake will need to build his own corp in order to be set up well enough to stop the batarians and fix some of the shit in this shitty world. But that ain’t happening for a long while, not until some of the other corps are destroyed and a power vacuum is established. So it’ll probably be for the best to focus on himself and whatever group he’ll have going for himself. Make allies and eventually be ready the infrastructure needed to fill the gap after a Mikoshi operation.

Ah the cyberpunk interpretation of humble beginnings: here comes a young entrepreneur dumpster diving for loot to start his own megacorp! ...what they don't tell you is how many bodies you would find on the way... hell you could say that one corpse in two dives is already a pretty low average for Night City! - I would have expected more of a body per container on average honestly. On one hand: the edgerunner build would serve as both a way to build necessary survival skills in a pretty hostile world and later on as an advertisement method for his tech: The best money can buy! Tech with guarantees! You would not become a statistic as soonish! ...or something. On the other hand, on average, inspired inventor is a material hog so the factorio/corp approach is always tempting... the problem is that this approach often attracts enemies (gangs and Mafias/Megacorps alike) way faster that the edgerunner way... getting attention and enemies is inevitable, the only thing you can control is how fast and how big of a headache they are... a hybrid approach is probably necessary to start with and then he can either go all in or slowly branch out. How common are Biotics anyway? I mean one thing is for them to exist in universe and the other is how widespread is their current use (and how much heat would having/using them would get him).

There's a reason why smuggling in the lizard is the tutorial mission for the game

Azazyel

For now there isn't any other Biotics as there isn't any natural Eezo on Earth

Apfelkuchen

Good old night city … where if you have no morals and a bit of doctor knowledge you too can butcher people for fat stacks of cash 🤷🏻‍♂️

Doesn't that make him conspicuous as fuck? He should look like a corpo with experimental tech aka prime meat 🍖 ...well that should also be fun on its own way 😊

Rival

Well, the dead hooker is free biomass. Waste not want not.

Bio_Bill

That was what I was thinking as well, also that a zombified hooker suddenly lunges at Jake.

Bio_Bill

Anyone else think of Jarvis piloting an army of Ironman suits? Good for conflicts, search and rescue, reconstruction, etc... War is on the horizon, and making your own army seems better than trusting most in Cyberpunk.

Loves2Spooge

With the different tech trees in NC, such as Vault tech and the bio weapons of Redident Evil, it would make sense this Smasher would be more beefed out if possible. Just saying, a more insane Smasher would make for a more impressive milestone to overcome with Jake if he is gonna be making Iron Man suits.
