We passed through the Zhulio Inlet without anything happening as we passed by the coastal city. From there our luxury ship hit the ocean waters and without any fuss we left Ionia.

Which was to be expected with a ship full of Kinkou ninja's and assassins. Any of the port managers and patrols that did check on us were met with all the possible paperwork we could need.

And from there... It was off to sailing on the ocean. Sailing across the open sea's. Our ship bouncing with the thankfully relaxed waves.

"This is rather fucking boring." I said after three days of just staring into the ocean water while under an umbrella so I would get fried by being under the open sun the entire day.

"And this is why mostly stay in Ionia... This is why I chanced losing my life going through the Yordle spirit roads and almost went crazy in Bandle City." Ahri spoke though more with a lazy tone then my utter boredom.

I got up from my chair and I looked around the ship before I pinpointed Akali doing her sneaky shit and hiding inside the folds of the sail above our heads.

"Hey Akali! How fast can this ship actually go?" As I did have a staff that could create a minature tornado in a cone away from the staff.

Akali poked her head out of the top folds she had managed to sneak into and hold herself up in and she said flatly. "This is a luxury ship Jake. Not a racing boat, it is averaging a simple eight to ten knots at most."

I shook my head and said plainly. "I am asking... How fast can the ship go specifically as I rather not spend another couple weeks on this ship."

Akali shrugged and then said slowly. "I am not a ship master. I and several of us know how to sail in case our missions need us to travel. But I do not know the limits of the ship."

To which I just fucking threw my hands up and I went over to the back of the ship and then I took out the Tornado Staff and with a hum I set up my chair and umbrella next to it as I mounted it on the back railing.

"Are you planning on just shooting magic behind us to make us go faster Jake?" Ahri asked for confirmation with a chuckle at my clear impatience.

And without a moment of hesitation I said flatly. "Yup! But I will keep the magic at a weaker level... I know that breaking the ship would be very bad to say the least."

I then let part of the staff relax on my shoulder as I sat down and then with a flicker of my mana a loud thrum rang out before splashing noises hit our ears as powerful winds hit the water behind us.

And thus the force of the water being pushed towards the ship by the storm of wind being shot into water pushed the ship faster.

'I can use the roiling water to push the ship faster. But I can't control the staff that well to send only a strong steady gust into the sails.' I mused to myself and it only took Ahri a minute to realize the fact and ask me why I wasn't using the sails to which I explained.

"Stirring up the waters is likely to get the attention of sea monsters." Akali then told me in a dull tone and I shrugged before I said calmly.

"Then I will personally dive into the water to deal with them. I can breath under water and move through it like I am flying anyway." I said with a shrug.

And thus our speed of crossing the was more than doubled which would in the end cut our travel times down by more than half.

As crossing the ocean was going to be boring as fuck especially when I needed to keep my eye on the kinkou ninja's that were watching our every move.

'Almost makes me wish the vengance filled birb would come out of her bedroom to entertain us as well.' I thought as Ahri was just chilling and wasn't nearly as 'bored' as I was.

But I blame the fast pace, never ending slog of slaughter that was the dungeon which was keeping my senses on edge and tormenting the current bored me into insanity.

A couple hours later however... Akali's words were proven true as a loud rumbling thrum rang out with the ocean itself vibrating before a dozen twenty feet thick massive fucking tentacles broke through the ocean with an explosion of displaced water.

"Told you so." Akali's dull tone hit my ears but I had already teleported forward with the Rod of Discord and with the Buster Sword I got from the Wall of Flesh.

I sliced through one of the large tentacles as I flew around it with the massive sword carving through it without any issue.

It cut through so easily that I was honestly suprised until I realized that this giant octopus wasn't a Danmachi or Terraria monster with greatly enhanced durabilty.

This monster although large didn't have innate magical resistance making it far more durable and strong.

So with that realization I whirled around and with the giant sword in one hand. I took the laser rifle and began shooting peircing magical beams that shot dozens of fist sized holes into the water as I aimed to shoot the main body.

A shriek rang out with the tentacles retreating back into the water as the sea monster wasn't stupid at all clearly. Well squids were smart back in my old life so if this monster had the same level of intelligance a normal one did.

It would know that with how we hurt it so quickly as I saw Akali had thrown exploding shurikan and Ahri's life force stealing orb also did a good bit of damage.

That we weren't prey worth the damage it would take.

"No more speed boating Jake." Ahri said with a helpless teasing smile.
