So I am thinking with how I am doing a free write chapter a week. Having five total would be a good system as several people have complained about Gatcha Life and such not getting love when Mountain Douluo wins all the votes.

Personally... I think that's a skill issue as there is still plenty of votes to go around to swing any which vote in another direction buuuuttt.

People are complaining about democracy so you guys are now getting communism in a rotation between the stories. So you guys... Here and now get to vote on the final story that I myself want as a freewrite!

Each option is one possible story.

I'm just gonna give asking for no new stories. The ideas sound awesome and the stories will probably be great, but adding more fics the the growing list of stories that get 1 cheaper a week-month is gonna hurt. It just feels like they take forever for anything to happen. How many stories do you currently have active anyway. Edit. Just counted not sure if I counted complete ones that I missed but give or take 40, whether there active or not who knows.

As a related point, I’m not sure this solves the issue of complaints but it does seem like it would lead to the Chinese definition of “interesting”. I looking forward to reading them either way.

Think you could do something like Shiro does and have all of your stories in a queue that covers the full year and people who commission a chapter basically let it skip ahead to the front? I ask this because there are quite a few stories of yours that haven’t been updated in a relatively long time and I think because of that no one reads them which means they won’t ever get a commission, therefore continuing the loop basically being abandoned. I would like to commission chapters but I do well enough to afford access to this patreon by itself let alone ordering a commission on top of that. I figured that a system where everything is in a queue and people who commission basically allow the story to skip the line would keep the status quo mostly but actually give a chance in hell for other less popular or basically abandoned stories to have an update.

You do realize he's a commissioned writer right? The whole reason so many stories are unfinished is because people aren't willing to commission chapters. If you want a story to be finished, then commission chapters for it.

I'm talking mostly about the stories he has on rotation, some go a really long time without chapters due to the sheer amount of them that there is.

He only has four free writes at the moment. Those are the only ones that are on a rotation and that only started within the past few months. And the only reason that two of them don't get updated more is because people keep voting for Mountain or Path of Least Resistance. Thus why he's doing this, he's actually making a rotation rather than leaving it up to democracy.

Another commenter explained what I mean better than I did, the new and more popular stories get so much spotlight that the older and more forgotten ones rarely get commissioned because people read the ones that appear more often and those get commissioned again, making it a cycle where those other less known ones rarely get any new chapter, and when they do, it's usually a short one and soon enough they get buried again under the others.

Ok that makes more sense than what I was getting from your original comment. Heck that was actually what the free writes were supposed to be for originally. To bring attention to older stories in case anyone wanted to commission and revive them. Now it's just become five stories that are getting continued without commissions rather than the original idea.

Reading this back over, I realize this comment is just one long complaint which I try to avoid since comment sections tend to be full of them and I doubt writers like reading them too much, so I’ll say, regardless of what I said above, I do enjoy what you write and at the end of the day it isn’t that big of a deal since it seems like a decent amount of my go to authors have this habit of constantly starting new stories so I’m used to it. I in general would rather the author write what he/she wants to write and when they want to rather than force themselves to write something.

Soul Eater, if Jake had a weapons partner who is also a Waifu? I'm thinking a Busty Pandora who can be turn into the Blade of Olympus, and their Soul Resonance will be the Fires of Hope licking at the blades edge. And Lord Death will instead be looking like a genderbent Death from Darksiders, while the personality remains relatively the same for the Soul Eater counterpart, but the sarcastic quips will leak out sometimes.
