After a good bit of thinking with the rest of my people and such. It was decided that it would be for the best for there to be as few 'Shinto' influences as possible in this great quest.

As let's be honest. If Heracles had a quest to get back both Hades and his father Zeus's own prime lightning bolt. That alone would have been enough to earn him his godhood without needing to do his twelve labors.

Hell, just myself having Kusanagi as a divine weapon itself was arguably going to get heavier eyes on us. Let alone running around with several kitsune. Including a nine-tailed one.

And with a rumble of cracking mana, Andy and I stepped out of an alleyway in the heart of the strip in Las Vegas.

"Whelp, we hit Vegas. Now what do we do?" Andy said, clearly anxious and wanting to find her mother.

I looked around and said slowly. "For now... We just head west down the strip. Fate WILL point us in the direction we must suffer."

Andy grumbled as she followed behind me, all the while I walked along with one hand in my jacket and the other resting on my sword at my waist that the 'mortals' couldn't see without any magic resistance.

And it... Literally only took us crossing the street and walking past the a couple casinos for us to reach the Lotus Casino.

Where Andy made a thoughtful noise and said. "Jake didn't you say the Lotus Casino is some kind of supernatural hub and trap of some kind?"

To which I nodded and said calmly. "Indeed. The Lotus Eaters lock the people into their pocket realm and keep them high as well as unaging as they use the candlelight-like strength coming from the many souls they control, to fuel their tiny reality marble and laws."

Oh, were the Lotus Eaters a cult? For fucking sure.

But they weren't eating people or working with monsters. And even if they were keeping kids locked up in there...

Oh boo fucking whooo. A bunch of kids are made ageless immortals, can live perfectly happy in a large town-sized pocket world made into a giant casino filled with constantly changing games, rides, concerts, and other forms of entertainment.

I was much more interested in slaughtering monsters that were literally eating children compared to these weirdos.

Still with a chuckle, I said. "We do have weeks saved via our travel via teleportation to waste if need be before the next solsist."

"Are you sure you aren't just looking to see a stripper or something in the casino?" Andy demanded dully but I could tell she was also interested as well.

Then, before I could retort, she added. "Also, why are the more neutral supernatural places like away hotels and such?"

I paused before I said quietly. "It's not... Always like that. This neutral zone and even the Continental are neutral and relaxed because they themselves are not involved in power struggles. Some neutral places are war zones because the worst kind of monsters are invading which forces factions to work together."

And as we approached the Lotus Casino, I gave a quick talk about the Gate of Skye realm I did a bounty mission in. And the aborted eldritch baby god we had to slay, which went... Fucking horribly to say the least.

"Wait, so doesn't that make you a god killer then?" Andy asked in confusion with the door guard. Who was very much part of the supernatural worl,d giving me a wide-eyed stare as he picked up my roiling physical energy and the obvious divine sword at my hip.

My lips twitched as I replied blithely. "Nah, doing that only made me blessed by the World's Will. I would need to kill a native divine to do so anyway."

I gave the now very sweaty door guard a calm look as I said calmly. "Two passes. Full experience. We need to be gone in no more than two weeks, however... Or very bad things happen." 

The guard nodded with a weak grin. "Of course... We expected the daughter of the Sea much later, honestly, with more demi-gods. But you are both welcome."

He then handed us both gold colored bracelets and explained how they would give us unlimited credits to be spent in the casino's store, the games, the rides, and other affairs.

 Though he gave me a helpless smile before saying. "However, they do not provide free credits for outward gambling in horse races and such that go outside of the Lotus Casino."

To which I just nodded in understanding. Though I wasn't interested in mortal gambling anymore with how my everyday was a gamble for my life.

'Hmm, speaking of gambling with my life. I wonder what John Wick has been up to? Maybe I should ask Ariana as she was kinda his friend?' I mused.

Then we entered into the Casino and a flash of so many different magical signatures belonging to so many different races hit my senses as we passed the barrier that seperated Earth from the Lotus Eater's domain.

"Sooo, we just throw ourselves into the games and let fate guide us?" Andy said with confusion as she probably thought we should be tearing through Vegas and heading even further west.

Still I nodded and said firmly. "Yup... We need to give the Fates a chance to fuck with us and put us on the right track. Trust me, I am sure they are already scrambling around with how we teleported over here. It won't take long."

And then I blinked as Andy grabbed my arm and with a grin she said. "Well then come on then! Let's go ride the go carts first!"

As she dragged me away however. I could feel heavy, hungry gazes on me and Andy's forms as we walked away.

And with a couple glances I gave a thin smile as I read their titles with my gamer system.

'Huh... Carmellia Vampires. Will they be stupid and brave enough to try to turn a Daughter of Poseidon?' I mused with a grin coming to my mind at the quick and brutal deaths they would face if Poseidon learned the lesbian man hating vamps turned his daughter without her consent.

Hell even Zeus and Hades would be pissed as well. As Andy regardless of the Great Prophecy was a strategic element for the Greek Pantheon with her potential.

"Pity it wasn't the Tepes however." I muttered with Andy asking.

"Pity about Teepees what?" She asked in confusion as to why I would bring up native american tents making me chuckle as I said with a grin.

"Nothing important. I was just thinking of getting one for camping gear I suppose."

Though inwardly I was wondering if I was strong enough to go purge a certain vampire clan to bring the Sepiroth Graal under my control.
