I looked around in total confusion as to where the fuck I was for a long while. I was on some random ass mountain and in the distance I could see what looked like wrecked temples on another mountain side.

"Like... Where the fuck am I?" I cursed as being on a mountain and seeing a wreck kinda Greek looking temple in the distance didn't at all tell me where the hell I was.

And for a long moment I paused... Before a bubbling horrible thought crossed my mind. 'Am I in God of War or something?'

But I took a deep breath. As even should I land in God of War. Whelp, I sure as hell wasn't going to be helpless. And there would be plenty of corpses of gods to fuse if I followed Kratos and what not.

But inside of my gut, something told me that this world was just wrong. Wrong in a way that it coudn't have been God of War which was a world that had it's own identity and working system.

"Parthurnax, want to spread your wings and take me around?" I asked with a frown.

I could feel the dragon the in my training space rumble in agreement with a large portal opening to my side with the massive dragon climbing out with a throaty rumble leaving it's throat as it said.

"This world... It feels hollow to me. Even without our connection, or the dungeons connection. I cannot feel natural magic in the world around us." Parthurnax spoke with a rumble in his deep voice.

I nodded and said somewhat quietly as I patted his thick and armored neck. "You are right. Let's get a height advantage and see if we can find any humans."

With that I climbed atop Pathurnax's head, just behind his neck so I could hold onto the curved spikes that went across the crown of his head more comfortable.

And with a powerful throom of forced aside air. He took to the skies with a couple beats of his wings even as he snarled in annoyance. "This world truly is truly without magic. My wings cannot support my weight without my own energy being spent greatly."

I tsked in annoyance before I said firmly. "Just get up high so we can find some sign of life. Then we can glide around."

I bet if there was anyone within a dozen miles they could hear the thunderous wings of Parthurnax as he struggled to take to the air but in the distance... I saw fire! And where there was fire, there was civilization besides these empty dead ruins doting the surrounding mountains.

Parthurnax with our shared connection gave a rumble of agreement as he began drifting downwards towards the site and with how dark it already was. We landed a good ways away with my dragon partner grumbling.

"Let me go back into the fusion space and my own zone. This world is... Something is wrong with it, is all I can say. Be careful master."

I nodded firmly as Parthurnax went back into the fusion space before I paused as a soft rumble rang out in the distance.

Towards the fire in fact. So with a flash, I summoned a sword into my hand before I shot forward.

Then screams hit my ears. Human screams at that so I sped up and as I broke through the forest, I saw what could only be monsters attacking fleeing civilians who were all clearly ancient Greeks or something with how they were wearing toga's and such.

The monsters had flesh of molten bronze, with large rents that had glowing bronze innards. At least this squad of humanoid monsters did that were all armed with glowing knives and short swords as they carved into the backs of the fleeing civilians!

With a snarl I flee into the monsters horde and my sword slice through their weird forms quickly and with a crackle of crimson lightning a roar left me as I invoked a dragon spell which sent a wave of crimson lightning into the monsters.

"Get closer to the mountain! I will protect you!" I called out to the people as I broke the line of monsters chasing the three or four dozen max civilians.

My instincts as an adventurer from Danmachi woudn't allow me to just watch these monsters kill these people regardless of how I needed answers from them.

Then from the distance I saw... More of those monsters. Dozens, no hundreds of them pouring like a black tide of burnt bronze and molten brass hate that shook the earth with each step they took towards me with the monsters coming in dozens of shapes.

Then my face twitched as from the line of monsters came dozens of archers that each shot beams of brass light at high speeds towards me and the civilians behind me.

So with a curse, I focused on Parthurnax... And Lansseax who stood up. And with two portals opening in front of me. They poked their heads out with powerful magic making their throats glow as they attacked with me.

Both dragons roared with a beam of magma and fire shooting from Parthurnax while Lannseax herself spat out a beam of crimson lightning that carved through the line of monsters.

As for myself I hovered up into the air and created large spears of crimson lightning that I threw into the further hordes of monsters and those lightning spears exploded violently sending the lines of monsters flying apart in burnt pieces.

But I scowled as I came down to the ground as I saw... The line of monsters in the distance was seeming unending as they seemed to grow from the very ground they were corrupting.

I turned back to the people and demanded. "Where is a safe place? They are endless in number?!"

The man who looked to be the elder said quickly. "Lord Chrysos Heir! We must flee to Okhema! The Black Tide will not end as long as we are not under Kephale's light!"

I was... So fucking confused at this point. But with a grunt of agreement. I quickly fused a couple carts together from some materials and ordered out. "Get everyone in the carts now! Sit down and squeeze together so my mounts can pull you all and you can guide us to Okhema while I protect you!"

Then I turned back and with a neck pop both portals stretched even further both of my dragons Lanseaax and Parthurnax climbing out with growls at the sight of the tide of monsters that were struggling to wade through the burning wasteland we created.

"Scorched earth. Kill as many as you can, while we protect the caravan." I said firmly to the dragons before I asked the old man that looked like the leader of these people.

"Is there anyone else? Anyone else to save?"

To which the old man shook his head, grief clear in his eyes as he said helplessly. "No my lord. We fled here to the temples of Georios from our own city capital. The temple is long lost with no survivors or worshippers."

With that I summoned two of my tamed Kelpi who with a clatter of their hooves began pulling the cart as the two dragons and I left a couple of lingering attacks to buy us time to escape from this bullshit.
