It turns out that the construction company that notable wasn't Belebog industries, was very happy to have less concrete on hand and instead have large Ether crystals delivered to their worksite.

It was like a nuclear powerplant in my old world ordering a bunch of bags of skittles for the breakroom. And the delivery guys brought some ready made nuclear fuel rods for them to refine and use for a discount while being able to pocket the difference from being the ether fuel from official sources.

So while Nicole was supposed to walk away with like forty thousand dennies, she instead walked away with a hundred and twenty thousand and some change in dennies.

And while Nicole was hammering the boss of the worksite for every single dennie, I managed to get Billy to help me steal some iron, copper, tin, and other metal scraps along with broken electronics that we 'helpfully' put away in the rented trash truck as though we were employee's on the worksite.

But with the trash truck's back empty and washed out to get rid of any ether dust. I sat down with Billy leaning over the back of the couch to look over my shoulder at the Alteration book in my lap.

"Sooo what is this magic book do? Will it allow you to turn people into a toad? Could you turn other people into magical Thirens like you?" Billy quietly asked in excitement but thankfully didn't yell as I was trying to read.

But with a hum I said thoughtfully. "Alteration is the magical path of altering the state of a target's being... In theory it's possible but in reality. Way to difficult, and extremely dangerous."

The thick book held a collection of every Alteration spell in Skyrim so while the 'armor' spells like Oak and Ebony flesh were interesting and the core of the school. I was honestly most interested in Transmute and Detect Life.

As I had an idea as to how I could get at least another Diamond-tier ticket. I could completely close a Hollow via abusing Detect Life to find all of the etherials within the hollow to drain the hollow of all it's life!

But... Completely closing a Hollow isn't something just I or even the Cunning Hares could do. We simply didn't have the manpower, obviously.

"Soooo why did you have me act like a hobo and collect a bunch of copper and stuff? Even Nicole isn't so shameless as to strip mine a building of copper and such to pay our debts?"

I scrolled forward several pages from the Oakflesh spell I was previously studying and pointed at the starting section of the Transmutation spell as I said calmly. "What if we could turn simple iron to silver, and then silver to gold? What if I can turn copper to platinum, and then into Rhodium?"

Billy went silent before he said quietly. "Then... We need to go strip an entire building in the Hollow of its copper pipes, its steel rebar, and of course, its other materials for the good of New Eridu!"

My face twitched as, in the corner of my eye, I could see him making a weird pose but I just nodded and said thoughtfully. "True. As previous metals are stupidly expensive with how difficult mining is."

And that was a complete understatement. The world's surface area was 98 percent covered in Hollows. So by extension, rare earth metals were even more difficult to get ahold of.

So with a sigh I said helplessly. "Anyway, the idea of making our own super corporation selling precious metals is to be put on hold... As I need to study this magic for a good while to do anything to begin with."

Billy gave a hurried nod before he said cheerfully. "Hey, we got plenty of time, haha... Well, supposedly anyway. So you got any get-rich-quick schemes in your head?"

I blinked at Billy's question before I said helplessly. "Any get-rich-quick scheme I could come up with would quickly be copied and refined by the TOPS, alright. And even if I was willing to let the secret of my food get out. Once again... I don't want to be lynched by those scary ultra money psychos at the head of the TOPS."

I shook my head and said helplessly. "Anyway, as for ways to make more money. Besides selling some batteries, I could mess with them to make better ones. I don't have any major schemes, honestly."

If I had gotten one of the other schools of Skyrim magic, I could definitely abuse them to make money... Having Atronachs to do heavy labor and fighting etherials, using destruction magic to fight at higher levels.

Healing magic went without saying, I could make a fuck load of money through it. Hell, even illusion magic could be useful if I could control etherials, even just to make them berserk and attack their allies.

Then Nicole's voice rang out hurriedly. "Strap your butts down! We are heading back home! I got to return this truck ASAP if I want a quarter of the renting price returned on the same day!"

Billy threw himself over the couch and held one of the couch pillows to his chest and wailed in false fear as the truck jolted and began to move, while I just rolled my eyes.

But then it was my turn to wail in fear as a loud screech rang out as the metal floor piece of the couch screeched as we turned hard, and our couch was thrown around the back of the trash truck, and we hit the side with the heavy ass robot that was Billy hitting me.

And just as the two of us got settled as I pushed Billy off... Nicole turned to the other side and with a scream, both Billy and I were sent to the otherside of the truck... As the fucking truck itself started to tilt at the heavy turn.

But with a loud thud that shook my bones. The truck's heavy weight asserted itself and we hit the ground with all four tires and we continued on back home.

"Nicole! You are going to kill us back here!" I cried out in exasperation as Billy and I both grabbed the arm of the couch and held onto our lives as Nicole tried to earn a five star Doordash delivery tip or something!
