Unbound Mantra Chapter 5 (Patreon)

My little guest didn't wake up or really even shift by the time I woke up in the early morning, and I went off to another day of work without much fuss and much happening besides one of my servers arguing that a Caesar Salad was a vegan salad and gluten-free... Just because it was a salad.
And I had to explain to the fucking idiot that a Caesar Salad wasn't vegan at all... It had cheese, it had anchovies, eggs, and cold-cut grilled chicken. Not to mention the in-house croutons weren't gluten-free as well.
At least it wasn't one of the cooks working under me who managed to stab themselves through their hands via a metal shish kabab stick while trying to put pepper slices on it.
But still after the 'wonderful' day of work, I got home with a sigh... Only to realize, with a pause, that not only was the broken window already fixed, thankfully. But so were the holes in the walls of my apartment.
Hell, the floor around the hole,s which was covered in drywall dust and too many off-toned chips of years of paint by lazy maintenance, setting up the apartment for new tenants were also cleaned up.
I looked around the apartment until what was only left was the closet that was housing my guest. And unbidden I couldn't help but imagine some worker who came in, finding the vampire I had tossed into my closet like a shameful life-sized sex doll.
My face twitched at the mental image, and I took a breath before I rapped my finger knuckles across the cheap wooden closet door.
There was a pause as I awaited a reply... Until a soft and hesitant voice rang out.
"Yes?"
'Why does it feel like I am knocking on the door of a reclusive roommate who just never leaves her room?' I wondered before I spoke out. "Ah, I am the owner of this apartment. Uhh, the sun is down now, would you be willing to come out and talk?"
A moment of silence before that same voice rang out weakly. "I am sorry for intruding... And I really appreciate you sharing your blood. Uhm, will this help?"
And from under the door came a slip of green glory. A thin stack of safety, of love, and printed happiness.
I slowly picked up a stack and, with a quick count, yup. Twenty crisp hundred-dollar bills. My rent for the next month as living here in Los Angelus was insanely expensive even while living in the shittiest of neighborhoods.
"Alright then, just don't touch my Pop-Tarts and the pizza pockets in the freezer, and you can be my Harry Potter living in the closet for a bit" I said with a grin as I happily pocketed the money with ZERO shame!
Then I just went over to my worn-out couch and fell into it with a sigh as I pulled out my phone to watch the supernatural news. I was rather interested in Norse Pantheon at the moment as they had been in the news for conquering a dying world.
And by a dying world, apparently the world itself had been attacked by some kind of space leviathan, and that world's will had died killing pushing it away before the Norse gods and their murder hobo's got there.
So with the world will of that world being dead and the world itself dying. There wasn't much in the way of worldly power to pull into our own. But the population of that world was up for the Norse to grab as well as any resources they could gather as they broke the planet down.
'Hmm, even in normal DXD, the strongest gods could fuck up the planet if left unchecked. So it's not surprising that they can just crack planets apart to gather raw resources if they just don't give a shit about the planet in question.' I thought while I wondered how strong I would need to be to go on such adventures.
After a couple of hours, as the sun fully set, I was about to get up to make myself a sandwich for dinner. The closet door cracked open.
Making me pause as from my dingy closet came a noble beauty.
She strode out clad in a new dress that exposed part of her side cleavage, and her purple hair was done up well, and her gleaming slitted crimson eyes took me in with the weight of a predator meeting its meal.
But that inner poise and beauty was utterly ruined as she stammered softly. "Uhm. Thank you for saving me, Jake Bariss. My name is Vivian Banshee, of house Romanov." She bowed slightly at the end.
'Oh my god... This vampire is utterly adorable.' I thought in amusement before I was reminded that she was still a vampire, and even with how I was building up my Mantra, she could probably still snap me in half unless sh,e for some reason, drove me insane with rage.
Still, I cleared my throat and asked with a helpless smile. "Uhh, you found out who I am, huh? It's nice to meet you Vivian. I hope you are feeling better after drinking a bit of my blood."
Vivian's face flushed deeply with her pale skin, taking on a ruddy pink as she said, almost breathlessly. "Even with so little blood, it helped me greatly Jake... I cannot thank you enough for that."
Then, after taking a deep breath to center herself, she said with a bright smile. "As for finding out who you are. That was easy! I went to the apartment office building and paid off the next year of your rent as I pretended to be your fiancée, which in turn gave me access to all your personal information!"
The room went silent as I thought. 'She isn't a big titty goth mommy vampire. But maybe a sugar mommy vampire with happy handfuls is just a more realistic life choice. A man should accept reality and not be too greedy.'
Still... I coudn't help but mutter with some confusion. "Fiancee huh? Uhh that's pretty brave of you."
But Vivian hurriedly shook her head with her long purple hair swishing about as she said hurriedly. "It was no big issue at all Jake! It wasn't hard for me at all I promise hehe!"
I just stared at this crazy vampire girl for a moment while she rocked back and forth on her heels for a moment before she put her hands together in front of her face to look away for a moment.
Then she spoke quietly with a soft flush. "I made trouble for you... And you were so kind as to share your delicous blood with me. So I wanted to help you too, so I paid off your rent for the rest of your rent contract and I also ordered some food to fill your fridge and freezer so you could eat better."
I slowly and woodenly turned to my fridge and I checked it only to freeze as the cheap alchole I had in the back of the freezer was replaced with cocktail mixes. High quality ground beef, pork, chicken, and fishes filled the small freezer to the brim besides the freezer arm door which had my pizza pockets as well as some stromboli.
"I know that young men like you, appreciate a more... Ahem easy diet so I got you some 'hot pockets' as well Jake. Also I made sure your fridge was full and I got you a subscription to Easy-Eats so they can bring you quality food ingredients." She finished with a shiver in my corner of my eye.
And I could see through the corner of her fingers as her crimson slitted eye's looked at me as though screaming 'Thank me! Look at me! Appreciate me!'
'I... Hmm, the Lust Mantra definetly knew what kind of person she is. Someone with extreme dependance on the validation of others for sure.' I thought helplessly.
