Martial Glory, Chapter 50 (Patreon)

With Mai Shiranui set up with the super martial artist doctor, I finally got some time to myself for a good bit.

Something I hadn't had for a good bit, what with me running face-first into an immortal mold monster and getting turned into a bioweapon. So, I was just relaxing in my room. Watching some tv like a normal young adult.

And besides, when hearing a condom commercial come over the tv with my Rino's voice entering my ear. I just dozed in comfort for the rest of the day.

Until my 'adorable' sister all but kicked my door open the next morning as she shouted. "Jake! Get your butt up! It's already noon, and Honoka has already made lunch!"

I sat up with a set of heavy blinks as I just stared at the rooms single window and I said helplessly. "Damn... I just slept like the dead." 

And with that, I got up and got moving. I soon met the girls in Marie, Honoka, and my sister Miu in the living room where they had already set out a platter of sandwiches as they were watching a recorded Kengan Fight from the looks of things.

"So whatcha girls got planned for today with it being the weekend?" I asked curiously.

Marie Rose chuckled as she gave Miu, her fellow blond a smile as she said. "Miu and I are going shopping and to get our hair done."

Honoka, on the other end, shrugged and said with a lighter smile. "I am thinking about taking a page out of your book Jake. I think I am just going to do a bit of light training before I just loaf around like a dead fish."

Honestly... Based. But I wanted to train with the Master's to get used to my Temu mold Ghoul abilities. If I was going to be getting involved with the weird supernatural side of the world. Then I needed to be on top of my game.

As you never knew how strong a thousand-year-old demon could be. It could just be a fat orc who wanted to force itself on some woman in this world. Or it could be a random demon king-level figure who could fold my ass like an omelet!

"Hmm, what master's are around today?" I asked curiously.

Miu told me that Ma Kensei, along with my own teacher in Shigure were here. But the rest were busy, Akisame himself was watching Mai Shiranui closely as she was greviously wounded previously.

"Hmm... Alright, then you two have fun while shopping. You two got enough pocket money?" I asked Miu in particular, as I knew that she was forbidden from doing Kengan fights and such. She didn't have any real income.

And as for Marie Rose. Wasn't she supposed to be a servant/maid for Helena Douglas or something in Dead or Alive?

Either way Miu gave me a look before Marie Rose grabbed my hand and said sweetly. "Any pocket money would be appreciated, big brother! Don't let Miu's pride stop you from helping your dear sister look her best!"

I could see Miu's pride looking stung at that so I just decided to be a stinker as I said proudly. "Alright, give me a minute to go to my room. I need to get to my wallet. And by the way, thank you, Honoka, for making lunch." I said with a nod to the pink-haired beauty.

From there, I got up and got some pocket money for the girls, and I couldn't help but imagine Miu and grandfather's expressions if I told them my pocket money came from having a sugar mommy in Rino.

Yeah... I should joke about that at some point. Especially Miu, she would have the best expression when she realized she had spent money on herself that I 'earned' by putting Rino on her back.

Once I got the girls settled I went over to find my teacher Shigure, who was sitting on a lower branch of one of the trees within Ryouzanpaku's estate. And, seeing me approach, she spoke in her typical soft but deadpan tone.

"Hmm, you have re-gathered yourself after a small break... Good."

I gave a small nod in agreement before I spoke a bit sheepishly. "Master, I wanted to do some sparring with Kensei Ma, I need to train in my new special bioweapon abilities." 

Shigure's eyes became rather pointed and heavy as she looked at me, and she said slowly. "Why Kensei? They are weapons, are they not? Why can't I teach you?" 

My face twitched at hearing the pout in her deadpan voice, and I said with complete honesty. "You are amazing at teaching me how to fight, Master. But, you don't have the patience he does when it comes to letting a disciple explore his options and abilities." 

Now there was an actual pout on my teacher's face as she gave me a look that said 'How could you!?'

But after a moment. She sighed and then fed a piece of cheese to her ninja mouse before she said quietly. "You are right... I am best at cutting to the heart of a lesson. Not letting a student explore his own options."

She then tilted her head to the side and said thoughtfully. "Actually, Kensei has a couple of friends over as well currently. They can also help teach you, possibly. Go, go ahead before they get drunk and up to some perverted antics."

I bowed my head to Shigure respectfully and I saw her pout fade as she reached into her deep cleavage to pull out a clay bottle of sake to drink as she looked over towards the downtown section of Tokyo in the distance.

'Hmm, I wonder what she is looking towards?' I mused thoughtfully before I shrugged and headed over to find Kensei while wondering if his friends were over. Were any master's I could recognize from the Baki, Kengan, Kenichi, or Dead/Alive worlds

'Damn... There are too many worlds filled with overpowered martial artists to draw from. Who fucking knows what kind of Chinese super martial artist that Kensei may know.' I thought helplessly.
