Celestial Path Chapter 37 (Patreon)

The next week was one of me both relaxing as well as doing some light training. But I was also spending some time with my housemates. Getting to know Karin and Changli and making sure they fit into my household.

Of which... Changli made sure that she fit in VERY well. With no problems, as she was a very smooth talker, and Eleanor was still kinda... Not very social with her anbu life, which made sense.

And as for the relationship between Changli and me. It kinda took me a bit to shift my social norms because this world had a very different look at servitude. And I accepted Changli's advances as she pressed to show her value so I would protect her and her daughter.

But time passed by all to quickly and Yoruichi had called a training session for the squad, where I saw my 'favorite' two Uchiha at the training grounds.

"So how was your girls' week?" I asked curiously.

Kaori, the eldest of the two, gave a thin smile before she said. "We had a small mission dealing with some bandits that Yoruichi took us on, seeing as you were busy."

Then Kiyome said with her usual more aggressive tone. "What is with that cane? Do you need to show off your money or something?" 

And obviously she wasn't asking about my health in needing a cane... Because I was immortal and they had already seen me heal from dangerous wounds all too quickly.

No, even though this feudal world didn't know the 'glory' that was the Pimp Named Slick Back. They still knew the solid gold cane enlained with gems and other designs was just too much.

And with zero fucking shame I said firmly. "This is a divine scepter that was wielded by a god that Kusagakure had sealed long ago. It cuts all my chakra usage in half when I am just holding the cane and is unbreakable!"

Complete bullshit, but both Uchiha's gaze was filled with desire as they looked at the 'Scepter'. As they knew all to well that merely cutting the cost of jutsu wasn't what I was meaning.

Still I refocused as I twirled my righteously renamed pimp cane in my hand, and I looked towards the tree line and called out. "Yoruichi! You aren't trying to pull a Kakashi, are you?"

A loud 'tsk' rang out before a crackle of static as Yoruchi flickered into the field with a scowl of annoyance as she gave me a dirty look. "Come on, brat. I know you were trained by Jiraiya, but can't you let me 'surprise' you and the two little brats?" 

I shook my head in silent denial with Yoruichi loudly sighing and then shrugging and saying casually. "Weeeelll anyway, it doesn't really matter. We aren't a real genin and jonin team. And it's time's up for you three anyway."

Yoruchi then lightly pulled her tight-fitting sleeveless kimono aside and from the mythical titty pocket dimension that women had. She pulled out a stack of papers and said firmly. "These are your Chunin Exams forms... Akari, yours have already been mostly filled out as well." 

I nodded, as what? Who was I going to get my legal guardian to sign off on me going to kill some people? Actually, even these two Uchiha were orphans, and they didn't even have a legal guardian besides the rules of their clan.

I took my own thinner stack of paper and with a quick glance, it was mostly a series of warnings as I could be subject to physical torture, emotional distress, and even death during the exams. 

Normal ninja shit to be frank...

So I shrugged and said easily as I finished flipping through the files. "Alrighty then, so when is the start of the exams?" I asked curiously at the end.

Because at least for here in Konoha. They didn't advertise the date of the exams to prevent stupid Genin from trying to cheat and fucking up the divine rules that founded these Chunin Exams to prevent the host of the exam from cheating and such.

Yoruichi cleared her throat and said in an utterly fucking cheeky tone. "It is... In three days! You little ducklings need to report for the first test at the Academy first thing in the morning at eight AM sharp lest I beat you three to death for failing your team out of the exams." 

I knew the last part wasn't exactly an 'idle' threat, as Konoha wanted me to thrash the rest of the nations using my Mokuton to put them on the backpedal.

At least the threat wasn't so idle to these two Uchiha anyway.

As them sleeping in and making our team fail out of the exam would likely end up with them not even leaving their clan compound alive...

Anyway I shrugged and said bluntly. "We will be there. Right?" I said towards the two whose Sharingan bloomed to life with crimson eyes meeting my own gaze with their conviction.

With Kaori saying firmly. "We will be there... After all, this is the best chance for us two to prove ourselves within our own clan." 

And that was enough for Yoruichi who brushed a hand across her jaw as she said, almost sheepishly. "Man, you three are so cute with your determination. You three just make sure to keep safe you hear? Kumo has always been interested in collecting outside bloodlines to strengthen their village."

Yeah... Sending a 'Senju' with the Mokuton and a pair of Uchiha girls with the Sharingan was an all to tempting target for them to try to try to steal us away.

"I am actually curious as to how strong my peers are in Kumo and their 'aces' they kept as Genin to also show off. Think they got any divine champions as well taking part?" I asked myself more thoughtfully.

But Yoruichi shrugged and said with a grin. "Nope! Not answering, if you are curious, go look into a Bingo Book to see their Genin bounties and whatnot. That can give you a bit of an idea of what is going on... And hey, you can check out your own bounty in there, Akari haha!"

My lips twitched at the thought of myself having bounties across the world. But hey, it just came with the territory of being a ninja. We didn't have the protection that being a samurai and nobility had.

Also... I was curious as to what my bounty looked like and what information they had on me actually?

But then I smiled with amusement as Yoruchi said with her own bland tone. "And Akari... Why are you using a cane anyway?" 

So with a hearty chuckle, I just spun my pimp cane around as I said with a chuckle. "It's a divine weapon. And it not only makes my chakra more efficient, but it also does bonus mental damage to women as well."

All three women gave me weird looks for that... But they woudn't understand.
