Great Great Asset Chapter 43 (Patreon)

I didn't have any problem relating to my own motivation or just feeling lazy when it came to helping Belfast prepare a proper dinner party with several dishes to be shared between my friends and our host in Tabane.
My biggest issue was the helpers she was offering me.
"Belfast, I have zero issues doing such cooking. But these two? I am well aware of Dido and Sirius." I said with a sheepish smile.
Because creating a dozen large-scale dishes, sides, and a couple of different dessert options was VERY different from just vacuuming and otherwise cleaning. These two clumsy but adorable maids were almost certain to put the kitchen alight with flames and possibly nuclear waste.
Both Dido and Sirius flinched at my words with Belfast's face going stiff before she chuckled softly and said. "I won't say that these two are faultless. But they will try their best regardless."
I exhaled in some exasperation before shrugging and saying with a shake of my head. "Yeah, I will give it a try, at least. Do you have a full course you want prepared or is this just me free-handing it?"
Belfast's smile grew at hearing my acceptance with her glancing at Dido and Sirius behind her as she said calmly.
"You may look at our food stores and decide on the dinner yourself Jake. Dido, Sirius, you are to follow Jake and obey his orders as though they came from myself or Lady Tabane herself."
Sirius and Dido both faced me fully and then bowed to me with their hands placed together at their waists.
"Please take care of us, Master!" They said in unison with their voices filled with a strange hope and desire that made me wonder if they had been sidelined or something.
But still, I nodded, and after a moment of thought, I said. "I will do my best to do so. Now you tow. Please escort me to the kitchens and food storage. I need to know what I am working with."
Then I looked towards Belfast and added. "Belfast, how many people am I actually cooking for? And what dietary restrictions or allergies should I be aware of?"
After collecting the all the boring side information I needed to plan for a larger dinner party, the two silver-haired, big-titty shipgirl maids escorted me to the kitchens.
And as I entered the kitchen, I couldn't help a wry smile at seeing how it was clearly in a state of disuse. Not that it was dirty, covered in dust or anything. But I could tell the majority of this large kitchen hadn't been in use for a good long while.
"Sirius, Dido, do you have any suggestions as to what I should make for dinner?" I asked with a hum of curiosity.
Dido cleared her throat and said quietly. "Uhm, Master? If you wish to keep things simple, maybe a thick, hearty stew for a main course and a simple appetizer would keep things manageable for Sirius."
And I was reminded that while Dido wasn't nearly as clumsy as Sirius was. She had legit pathological issues based on how she was forgotten and scrapped after WWII, which resulted in her having massive abandonment issues among other things.
This would sometimes drive her up the wall and make her 'clumsy,' as she had little psychotic breaks.
But hey, not my long term problem anyway.
Still, after a good moment of thought about the courses for tonight, I snapped my fingers as I decided to go for the best of both worlds. Seeing as I didn't want to get in between Belfast and Tabane's silent battle of real food vs fast/childish food.
I decided the appetizer would be some stuffed taquitos with chicken, steak, and beef for the main proteins, and each serving for each guest would have their own line of different dipping sauces and cheeses to enhance the taquitos.
This appetizer would not only be very easy to make. But even the clumsy Siruis could help me just roll up the taquitos so they could be deep-fried.
As for the main dish...
"How about beef bourguignon for the main course? It will take a good while to stew and reduce. But it will be easy to plate up en masse for any super gluttons." I said with a thoughtful hum.
Siruis and Dido shared a look before nodding. Siruis then said softly. "Hmm, and what would you like us to help with?"
I looked around and, seeing a clock, I asked. "What time do you all usually have dinner?"
Siruis looked to the clock as well and said. "Uhm, we have about five hours before dinner is normally served."
I blinked at the rather late dinner time before I remembered we just had lunch not even half an hour ago... So I didn't exactly need to get started in cooking most of the time just yet.
Even if I wanted to stew and reduce a thick beef bourguignon stew, it woudn't require more than two hours of simmering anyway.
"Well... I have the menu basically together. Do you two have any other tasks you need to take care of?"
And I knew the moment I finished, and Dido flinched that I fucked up as Dido sank in on herself, as even Sirius said in a weak voice. "Master... Are you sending Dido and Sirius away already?"
I took a deep breath before saying helplessly. "No, I am just saying that it's not time for us to start cooking yet. I was... Hey, how about you two show me around this Chrome Shelled Regios? I am curious as to how people live normally without needing to raid for supplies constantly or roam around."
Making a big titty maid cry was a sin... Something I couldn't do, obviously.
Dido at hearing me confirm that I was NOT kicking them both to the curb happily smiled before she said hurriedly. "Of course we can show you around! We can't bring you into the private homes and labs of the other scientists/magicians living here. But there is plenty of communal area's."
And with that, Sirius and Dido flanked me at my sides and gently escorted me outside of Tabane's laboratory, where we headed down towards the micro downtown cityscape that filled the core of this walking city.
"That central tower is the mega-mall of this city, every level is split apart and is owned by various factions inside of the city for them to sell or advertise their services in order to gain resources," Dido said in her soft voice.
Currently, we were on a small tram alone that was moving between the major labs, which consisted of the scientists and such that Tabane had to call a 'peer' of sorts even if she was the leader of this walking city.
Which honestly surprised me. As far as I knew about her in Infinite Stratos, she had little to no interest in actually being a leader of any kind. Let alone being held remotely accountable for anything.
And the walls of the tram were also just flat panes of glass, which allowed me to see the odd car that we were driving above on the magnetic tracks. So it wasn't like this area was a ghost zone or something.
The tower that Dido pointed out was also a solid concrete building without any glass unlike most of the other buildings. But each level of the tower was clearly defined, with different concrete designs and divots in the tower.
A light rumble ran through the tram as the tracks pulled us upwards a bit. And in that motion, Sirius, who was to my right, pitched forward, and I felt her heavy full breasts push into my arm as she grabbed me with a yelp.
And she almost dragged me down as she. A walking shipgirl who could probably flatten the interior of this walking city in but a few minutes. Utterly couldn't get her feet in order as her prim leather high heels just squeaked as they skated across the tile floor.
Finally, I managed to pull her up to her feet. She with a bright flush, bent over slightly as she whimpered out. "Please forgive Sirius, master! Sirius couldn't get her feet underneath herself! Sirius is extremely sorry and will deeply reflect upon her mistake!"
But the more important note was that during her whole episode in dragging her up as she held onto my arm was that her already extremely low cut top had given up. With the clumsy maids very large breasts were pulled out of the top of her dress.
The tram went almost quiet as Dido and I just stared at Sirius as she was so busy 'apologizing' that her bewbs were audibly smacking about each time she bowed with the apology.
But I could feel Dido's glance at me... And I could all but hear her inner thought, that this was in of itself, its own gift/apology towards me.
But with an entire city that could be looking at this tram as we entered the city proper. I could only cough and say helplessly. "Sirius, I accept your apology. And you need to fix your top."
Sirius paused at my words and, with a glance downwards... She visibly flushed but she only let out a dull-eyed giggle as she slowly fixed her top by stuffing her breasts back into the dress as she asked in a dead voice.
"Siruis hopes... That master will forgive any impropriety, and will not report this incident to Lady Belfast. Sirius does not want to be spanked again after all."
I cleared my throat as the memory of those wonderful pale breasts still filled my mind. And I finally managed to say helplessly. "I won't tell on you, Sirius. You just had an embarrassing wardrobe issue. It would be rude to bring such things up."
I shook my head and then forcibly changed the subject as I asked Dido and Sirius. "Actually, I just had a thought when it came to that mall. What kind of currency do you guys use around here? Or is everything barter-based?"
Sirius, clearly excited to take my lifeline to move away from her massive titty flop of a social situation, hurriedly explained. "No! We do have a credit system that uses both precious materials and Primordial Energy Items that can be turned into the general materials pool for credits."
And I still did have some materials of my own as being a walking 'Gamer' any of the monsters I had any effect in killing. I got materials for. And my inventory did get loaded up with some somewhat magical materials from all those water-based monsters we turned into chunky salsa when we flew over that ocean realm.
