After a brief conversation with Mio, we both agreed I should meet with Luo Sulan on my own. Even after I get these S-Rank Geno Martial Arts, Mio woudn't be learning them as she had her own to worry about for one.

And secondly, the transmission of Geno-Martial Arts you got from another clan or organization was 'illegal'. Not illegal as in, if you share it around you will be put into prison or something.

No, the most likely thing to happen is you get shot three times in the back of the head in a public bathroom, and the police rule it as a suicide.

Ringing the doorbell of the past Han Sen's house. I was welcomed in by Luo Sulan, who actually wore a small smile at seeing me.

'I think she is moving on past the loss of her son... Any parent who let's their child enter the Sanctuary has to accept mentally that they can be lost.' I thought a bit helplessly.

There was a very painful thirty percent mortality rate for late teens entering the First Sanctuary for their first year. And that was why the vast majority of human's never got past the Second Sanctuary.

The Sanctuaries were a straightforward path to immortality, power to shatter planets and stars. But there were no second chances within them after all.

"I hope these two S-Rank Geno Martial Art's haven't brought you too much trouble in getting," I said with a small smile as I took a set across from Luo Sulan.

The beautiful woman's thin smile turned a bit pained before she said helplessly. "Honestly. This trouble will be coming your way, you understand? Getting S-Rank Geno Martial Arts from an ancient clan, even if you DID earn them... Won't be without it's own cost."

The memory of caving in the head of another ancient clan heir ran through my head even as I felt the icy, pure energy of the Jade Skin Sutra running through my veins.

Still, I kept a calm expression as I nodded and said bluntly. "I am aware the Luo clan will be watching me to see if I share these S-Rank Geno Martial Art's without their permission. And I will not, even with my own children I will not unless I get the clan's agreement."

Luo Sulan gave me a long searching look before her smile became helpless as she said. "That... May not be a problem with this Geno Martial Art. It isn't just a Geno Martial Art, but an actual Sutra in fact that the family is curious to see if you are capable of practising."

She then opened up the suitcase between us and saw the projector chip labelled as 'Falsefied Sky Sutra.' I went stock still as human's weren't supposed to be able to practise this crazy ass cultivation manual.

And it very much was an 'SS' rank Geno Martial Art/Sutra. Not just merely 'S' rank. But while it was utterly broken in being able to turn all your attacks into Causality-affecting strikes, like good old Cu Chulain's Noble Phantasm over in the Fate Verse.

Weak, fleshy humans simply couldn't practise it normally, and only half-human-shura half-breeds could cultivate it. Because in order to force karma into your favor, your own body had to bear a backlash with each attack made.

Then I looked to the side and my face twitched as the other S-Rank Geno Martial Art was a much more 'common' one which was available notably to all high-ranking humans who made it to the Fourth Sanctuary. Or made contributions to humanity in some way in the Federation Government.

"The Yin-Yang Blast... You guy's really are putting me in a corner, aren't you?" I said helplessly as this Geno Martial art was-

I shook my head as Luo Sulan coughed with a bit of shame as she said helplessly. "I am not well loved in the clan. I apologize, but this was all they were willing to loan to you. Even to get revenge for my lost Han Sen."

The Yin-Yang Blast had a massive problem. It was basically manipulating the yin and yang energy within myself to enhance my body and attacks. Sounds simple, right? Fuck no, it wasn't. What happens when your yin and yang energy isn't balanced when you go to enhance your body?

Yeah, while it would create extremely powerful attacks. There was always the possibility for that activated Yin-Yang energy would explode inside of you. As it wasn't just fire or ice energy you were attacking with.

You were attacking with yin-based soul-shredding wind blades and yang-based life force extinguishing flames. And when you violently merged those two energies inside of your body before punching out with it... Yeah it wasn't suprising when so many people died using the martial art.

Looking over the two supernatural martial arts that could help cultivate my body and unlock several Gene-Locks. I knew those Luo Clan bastard's were trying to see how strong my body actually was.

"I see. Well these will be very useful to say the least. I certainly can't turn my nose up to them in any case." I said more to myself as I carefully closed the suitcase and moved it towards my lap.

Luo Sulan coughed as even she couldn't deny that these two Geno Martial Arts, although strong. Had very major problems.

With that all said and done, however. The room went quiet as Luo Sulan looked up towards the stairs leading to the house's second floor, which was probably where the bedrooms were.

Then she looked back to me and said slowly. "Then I do wish you the best in your ascension, Jake. I hope you can come back home safely."

I nodded and said respectfully. "I will do the best I can Miss Luo. I need to get this back, and to get my own things in order. I wish you a good night."

Saying anything else would be just another reminder that her son didn't make it back from a hunt either. So I respectfully made my way out of her home and just hopped back into the air car to take me back home where Mio was still waiting for me.

-

Heading back home I stared at the two different Geno Martial Arts and considered my future. The Falsified Sky Sutra would be a very powerful addition to my own arsenal for example.

But both geno martial arts would put a great deal of pressure on my body and genetic structure.

Then again, I didn't exactly have a purely 'human' body. I had the body of a One Piece character, and theirs were very malleable.

So with a hum, I got to work as I needed to hit the entry level of both martial arts so that I could even begin to touch upon the Gene Locks after I maxed out my Geno Points in the Second Sanctuary.

The Jade Skin Sutra focused on enhancing the various layers of the body with each level of success and progress you made with it. First it hardened the skin, making it as pure and strong as jade. The next layer was the muscles, then the organs, and finally the bone.

Currently, I was still at the point of refining all the muscles in my body. And that progress had done alot of for my current matchless strength for my current level.

And seeing as how much stress the use the Falsified Sky Sutra put on my body, while not enhancing it nearly as much. I decided to start off with the Yin-Yang Blast as it did refine the body a good deal as well.

'Yang energy isn't hard to find and refine for the body, especially with the geno points I have added which is pure life force. It's the yin, the mental energy that's normally hard to collect and manage.' I mused that thankfully the Jade Skin Sutra was very much a yin-based cultivation manual.

So I already had a leg-up on yin energy accumulation that was only like twenty percent weaker than my raw yang energy that was heavily strengthened by the Super geno points, especially.

"I don't even want to try to use the Yin-Yang Blast before I ascend to the Second Sanctuary... There is a reason people don't dare to learn or use it till they refine their body in the Third Sanctuary." I said helplessly after several day's of careful experemental exploration with the technique.

Mio who was leaning against my back and just dozing with her head against top of my back stirred. And with a deep inhale that I could feel with her expansive chest pushing up against my back.

She spoke up with a heavy tone. "So it's time then. You are ready to go now?"

"It's time." I agreed quietly in turn with Mio taking another breath before she kissed the back of my neck.

"Let's go then. We can enter the teleporter together and send ourselves off at the same time." She said as she took my hand into her own and we got ready to go.

The ride to the public teleporters was a rather somber one. As we both were nervous and worried for the other, as no one has ever publicly ascended with Super Geno Points before.

And even though I knew Han Sen did it just fine and even got a special body physique that basically made him a predator and eventual god of the Spirits of the Sanctuary. That didn't mean that I myself wasn't nervous.

Going through the portal was actually very different as the moment we entered the Sanctuary. As we met up outside of our private dorm's, we were both instantly hit with an even stronger rejection from the Sanctuary.

To the point that the moment Mio and I met. With matching grimaces I said what we were both thinking. "Fuck it. Let's go out with a bang."

The two of us walked out of the dorm area, and the many people at the Black Steel Shelter quickly moved out of the way as we started glowing with a rainbow light.

"They are ascending to the Second Sanctuary! Jake is heading on up!" Several people shouted in a hurry.

Our bodies continued to glow ever brighter, and for good reason. As the Geno Point's we had ingested over the months in my case. And couple of years in Mio's case was burned away as fuel to fully evolve our bodies.

We were earning the true title of an Evolver as the Common, Primitive, Mutated, Sacred Blood, and finally Super tier Geno Points in that very order were fused into your body.

And as we burned through the Mutated geno points, it very clearly slowed down even as the glow became ever stronger as we burned through the much denser Sacred Blood geno points.

All the while, we could feel the pressure of the Sanctuary leaving us as our body were transformed. But we were also locked in place as we ascended into the air with the sky above us filling with thunder-filled clouds.

In the crowd that was attracted by our ascension, I could see Son of Heaven, I could see Rias and Runeas standing besides Yang Manli, as well as Qin Xuan. All four of those women giving Mio a variety of looks alongside me.

There were... A lot of jealous looks as they clearly watched our bodies ascending, and finally as the Sacred Blood Geno Points were about to be burnt away. We were taken into separate portals that would be sending us into the Second Level of the Sanctuary.

"Be careful Jake!" Mio yelled out to me just as my vision was filled with endless swirling colors and my mind blanked as my body felt like it was being disintegrated and reformed in an instant by the powerful Super Geno Points I had maxed out on.

Pray for our red headed big titty Waifu to make her way back, be super sad if we lost her

Hmm is it time

Im like 99% certain that to evolve ones body they needed to visit the evolution pool in the shelter before evolution can be triggered and rejection by the sanctuary doesn't occur until after evolution. At least from 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 I stoped reading near the star of sanctuary 3. And im pretty sure evolution ist like in pokemon with the glowing lights at least until the end of the 3rd sanctuary.

Azazyel

Uhh I remember very distinctly that it was just a choice. I could be wrong as it's been close to a decade since I have read the source material lmao.

Hmm is it time

I don't remember a choice at all for the first 2 but as I said I stopped reading at the start of sanctuary 3 when things became more complicated with spirit points or something so maybe there was a choice at the end of 3 or up but the first and second ones Im sure required the baptism in the pool. (Just checked the evolutions of 1 and 2 no mention of a choice I don't have access to 3 so can't check that one.)
