Gatcha Life is for me! Chapter 10 (Patreon)

When we got all the info sorted for entry into the dungeon, I myself actually recognized what 'realm' this was as my lips twitched heavily.

'Realm my ass! This isn't a fucking dungeon but an entire actual planet in the Helldivers ' Universe!' I thought with actual exasperation as I recognized these bugs all to damned easily.

Well, this planet was still a 'realm' but due to the prime connection to my own universe, this planet was still time-locked basically and would reset every couple of weeks. And it all made sense now, actually.

As this 'realm' was rather favored by Tinkers for biomass materials from these bug's. As well having massive easily collected ore veins and pools of dark matter, and some weird metal that had anti-gravity properties that was worth extra rewards, especially if we collected it.

Basically the 'Super Samples' of Helldivers.

Still, I looked back to Taihou who was eagerly awaiting me to do... Whatever I needed to do, to some poor bastard of a Charger she had nailed with a 100m cannon round and was almost cut in half.

"Taihou, watch out for any foriegn or adverse energy that could be coming off of me as I use the Honkai." I spoke seriously.

While Taihou WAS a shipgirl, and a META shipgirl in particular who was already even more insane then she should have been normally. I was a bit worried that without a Cocoon or a 'Will of the Honkai, ' me putting out the energy could infect someone.

And I refused to be a walking, leaking nuclear disaster who would turn people into monsters or just literally dissolve into ashes.

Taihou nodded seriously at hearing the firm tone I used, so with that done. I turned back towards the dying giant insect that was the charger.

I held up my hand as I pulled at the pool of Honkai energy within myself. And as it ran through my body in a rush, I truly understood why our lord and savior Kevin Kaslana thought himself a god who could make decisions for all of humanity.

It felt like... Pure lightning ran through my veins, but the lightning didn't make me lock up, no it made everything more real. It made me feel. More alive then anything I had ever felt before as a blue energy formed at my hands.

And along my fingertips formed claws of solid lightning that I could feel as a form of tension that didn't harm me myself. "Lightning, Ice, Fire, and Gravity/Space... You really were a beast, Benares." I muttered silently as I felt the different elemental powers within myself.

Benares being the Companion Beast of Sirin, the Second Herrscher with SIX Gem cores, it made sense the Honkai Beast or otherwise known as 'Bella' by Sirin was so strong and had so many different powers.

As Sirin had given Benares, her companion Honkai Beast, her own Gem which made her into something akin to a psuedo Herrscher of a sort?

Shaking aside the heavy thoughts, I stepped forward and formed a knife hand. I stabbed my lightning-covered fingertips into the head of the charger.

And for the briefest moment there was a bit of resistance and impact to my fingertips before with a crackle of it's thick scales, my hand sank quickly into the smoking and crackling armored forehead of the monster.

After a moment of frying the brain or at least what was likely the brain of the Charger that was shuddering violenty from all the lightning running through it's nerves.

I pulled back with my hand clean simply due to any filth getting on it would be flashed evaporated into plasma that dispersed through the air.

And seeing the Charger just collapse truly in death, I smiled as I was no longer... Truly a helpless civilian anymore!

'I can try to save my parents!' I thought before I sagged in place as yeah... Unless I did some really crazy things like helping a group conquer a plane/world. I couldn't get my parents pardoned for being traitors to humanity.

So with a sigh I took a deep breath to center my mind and I looked to Taihou who was staring... Just above my head for some reason?

"Uhhh, why are you staring just above my head?" I asked in helpless curiosity.

Taihou pointed at my head and then said with a giggle of mad joy. "When you channel your powers, it makes your horns glow and change colors!"

I paused at that and with a wry smile, I touched upon the other elements besides lightning that Benares commanded and I asked. "Does my horns keep changing colors?"

To which Taihou happily nodded, while I knew that my horns changing was actually a bit of a weakness, as it told whoever I was fighting what elemental effect I was going to try to slap them with.

"Alright, Taihou! We have one major job here! Kill all the bugs we can! And then we get well paid, and can get ourselves an actual place using the Guild as an intermediary to get us a house!" I said in excitement!

Seeing the pool of shadows below us in her Parade of a Thousand Demons growing more and more. I said very firmly. "Remember Taihou, NO destroying the realm core. Stay away from the mountains filled with the giant building sized bugs. That is where the Core is and we can't touch it."

Taihou nodded in understanding with an adoring look as she said. "Taihou will only kill whoever her beloved asks her to!"

I gave her a thumbs up and in the distance a massive Bile Titan was making it's way towards us after hearing Taihou's own cannon fire earlier.

And I just watched it turned out you didn't need orbital cannons to kill them. A naval cannon did... Just fine in making some poor oversized bug turn into exploded bug flesh.

In the distance, I could see an entire wave of skittering knee-high bugs and even larger variants rushing towards us. But with only amusement, I said lazily. "Taihou... Load up the war crimes and send some white phosphorus canisters and send them off."

Raid bug-killing spray may not be able to kill these giant oversized bugs. But good old war crime powder most certainly can if they dare to breathe that shit in.
