Bleach TYBW ep. 23 [UNEDITED]

Mayuri is a character I 100% think got retconnedafter his introduction. I love the guy, and like, he's still pretty messed up, but the things he says and does are pretty toned down compared to when he was first introduced. No one seems to remember how absolutely VILE he was in the SS arc. He used his own squad members to lure out Orihime and Uryu and then blew them up for the hell of it. The obvious and VERY uncomfortable dynamic he had with Nemu (which is thankfully never seen again). He showed Uryu pictures of the Quincies he butchered, INCLUDING his grandpa who was STILL ALIVE while being disected. The light novels even expand on what he did to the Quincies during the extermination, including setting people on fire and forcing their families to watch. You'd think Mayuri would be a pretty high priority target for the Wandenreich all things considered, but he never ends up having to answer for what he did because now he's a fan favorite.
