I got a few recommendations that I try an Amazon wishlist so that people can focus their support towards particular equipment I need, and after some research and set-up time I've decided to go for it! Here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3OMEH1TFZLJVI?type=wishlist&filter=unpurchased&sort=priority

I've never done this before so I don't really know what will work or what people are interested in, so I'd appreciate any and all feedback.

The entire Vi Hart enterprise has gone through lots of changes recently. It's becoming super awesome and is going to be double extra awesome once we get this ship sailing properly.

Picture above is an artwork I finished last night that is part of... let's call it Project Butterfly. It's a maybe-video that will maybe-happen someday, and the above picture is one of many small parts of it I've been working on for a while.

According to the description it's not the affected model and has a metal handle. Good to be sure though!

It's a watercolor paper, Genesis No. 51295 to be exact. They probably don't make this particular one anymore... my watercolor supplies are pretty old.

I could not afford the mic so I focused mostly on keeping Dogget warm. Overall, it is more fun/engaging supporting with specific purchases, so this seems like a good way to go.

Yes your registry shows up on my address book on Amazon. To be clear, you'd prefer our monthly pledge right? But we can add an item from Amazon for you if we so choose? That would be totally separate from pledges. It's simple and logical. People have asked you and it seems like a solution to their quest to me. I'm happy for your success.

vihart

yep, it's a separate thing for those who want to support me in a different, or multiple, ways.

vihart

Thank you! Dogget thinks that dog warms are much more important than microphones, and who am I to disagree?

Ooooo Im already intrigued by Project Butterfly! Any hints?

Randal Moore

This makes it perfectly clear

Nice Butterfly! Will it land on butter? Will it ever fly? One word on your wishlist: my professional experience with APC is that they're very good at planned obsolescence…

I tried to find this online but could not. I have used the Arches Watercolor Pad with some satisfaction in the past. I liked the texture on this one.

ok you asked for feedback so here goes ...maybe it's just me, but the idea of sending out a wishlist with what frankly seem like alot of luxuries is going too far. WhoAmI? Science Geek with kids, love what you do, constantly sings your praises to others, Wau level piker. Keep up your fab work - we loved smarties!

You know, I did not even think to check out the elevated feeder even though it sounded like a way to keep Dogget fed on a transcontinental flight. When the shipment notice came through (Tuesday the 14th, Dogget!) I broke down and looked it up. What a great idea! I can see now in my mind's eye back fifty years to our own Doggette wolfing the Ken'L Ration from a bowl on the floor, all hunched over trying to get the food up and down. Ironically, I got jumped two nights ago at my neighborhood bar while standing eating my dinner (I always stand) by a gigantic bouncer offering me a bar stool so I could sit. I did not want to hurt his feelings and he was huge so I sat. Where was I?....

I wasn't sure about this Amazon wish list at first. It has some personal items which didn't make math sense to me until my daughter, Chloe, discovered it. She loves math because of you and has her own composition book of math creations. I am going broke keeping her in multicolored sharpies. "Daddy we have GOT to buy these comfy socks for Vi--and while you're at it, will you please buy a pair for me too?" I can't say no to her. Since discovering you for two years now she hasn't had a math test score below 95. Gee, thanks a lot, Vi. I don't know whether to hug you or send you my sharpie recpts. Btw, we have Prime. Your socks will arrive Wednesday.

I have a request for video I'd like to see at some point. I see lots of videos about pi and e but very few about my favourite number series, the golden ratio, and all the sneaky places it pops up in maths. I'd love to see a video on it....

vihart

I've written many draft scripts on the golden ratio, and a series about it has been on my to-do-when-I-have-time list for about 5 years! But I warn you, you might not like what I have to say about it ;]
