We did it! Finally, after many years, mathematical snowflake crafting and mathematical hexaflexagon crafting have been combined to form hexaflexaflakes, and we got it done just in time for the holidays.

I really wasn't sure whether this video would come together in time. Just before the Great Patreon Kerfluffle of 2017, I had worked on the script enough to come to something beyond just the "Let's make hexaflexagons that are snowflakes" aspect, relating abstract mathematical ideas to a science-like process of trying things out in the real world to test and expand our thinking.

After some interruptions it was back to work on writing and re-writing, working on how to connect fun-craft-time with the worst of human nature, without a conflicting tone. Like many of my videos, after a long time thinking it might not work out, when it came together it came together quickly.

I hope it makes sense to anyone ever...

Next, I'm working on some musical bits for a collaboration that will hopefully come together in early January... should be very math and very music and very cool!

Also I have spent many hours on art things that are going well :D

Ok! It is late and goodnight!

So the last one only creates a reflection-symmetry within each piece, not a doubling of the number of repeated pieces

Oh this is a brilliant one, Vi. I almost woke Chloe up for it. Today was her last day at school till after Christmas but she understood the stand you were making not only for yourself, but all creators and their patrons. Plus you posted an earlier snow flake video from the past and I'm glad you did and hope you keep sending us addresses to go back to. I like the repeat lesson and hilarity and that artistic thing that is so unique only to you. Plus by posting older videos Chloe can go back and see them for the first time. She did make Snowflakes in class though, earlier in the month. I just want you to know what a difference you make in both our lives. She sure wanted to show off your hexa---snowflakes but she learned more from your comments and mine and others in the fiasco this month. I'm also glad you have kept a good patron base and income through this mess. You will be around forever.

Hilarious. I thought this was about hexaflexxing and it turned out to be about how how on-line goofballs can argue themselves into three-fold wrongness. Loved the Grrrr moment. Never stop! (But do get that sleep. ps. I am delighted to learn a music piece is on the way. And that music is an adjective. And that there are gradations in the quality. I always worry about the unit of measure in cases like this.)

This is very nice. I confess I was a bit concerned about it going in a bad people-are-stupid direction, but of course you took it in a nice constructive this-is-how-we-know-things direction. (Intentional pun!)
