Oh, you're pretty (Patreon)

It’s difficult being the royal guard of prince Jimin.
Jeongguk just stands there all day, helmet on, making sure there is no danger. It’s only been a few months since he got the position, but it’s been tougher than anything up til now.
And that’s because Jimin is an absolute menace.
He would have never guessed Jimin to be so mischievous. Jeongguk is always trying to undo Jimin’s little pranks, trying to calm down the people Jimin not so accidentally insulted (even if they deserved it), trying to make Jimin wear more appropriate clothes.
He feels like he’s an errand boy, just running around, fixing mistakes.
It’s even worse when Jimin is drunk, then he gets giggly and starts conversing with him, focusing all his intention on him instead.
“Why do you never let me play around, sir Jeon?”
“It’s my duty to-“
“Your duty is to me. Come sit on my bed.”
Jimin pats the spot next to him, and Jeongguk only stares at it, eyes wide.
In theory, he’s supposed to do everything Jimin says. But Jimin is drunk, bottle of sake in his hand, satisfied smile on his flushed face.
He chuckles when Jeongguk doesn’t move.
“Don’t be so stiff, you always just stand there, have a drink with me.“
This is a bad idea.
Jeongguk bites his lip, shakes his head.
Jimin tsks and rolls his eyes.
“You’re no fun. My last guard was way looser.”
Jimin says as he takes another swing from the sake, some of the liquid dripping down his chin, over his exposed neck.
Jeongguk swallows.
“I’ll ask you one more time, come have a drink with me.”
Jimin says, reaching out his hand with the bottle of sake. Jeongguk eyes it with interest, but what interests him even more is Jimin in his scarce sleep attire, his pretty long hair braided, falling over his shoulder.
This is a bad idea. The worst, actually.
But he slowly joins on the bed.
He takes the bottle of sake, and brings it to his mouth. He’s never touched something a prince has touched before, so he feels a little light when he takes a sip.
“Are you gonna keep that helmet on?”
Jimin asks then, a little amused.
Jeongguk looks at him a little alarmed. He’s not supposed to show his face to the prince. It’s not his place.
“My prince, it’s not appropriate-“
“Oh sir Jeon, what’s with that attitude? Here, I’ll take it off.”
Jimin says, giggling as he takes Jeongguk’s helmet off and puts it on the floor.
“There, isn’t that be-“
Jimin stops talking when he looks at him, eyes widening.
Jeongguk touches his own face, wondering if he’s got something stuck on there. Wouldn’t be the first time. But the prince actually grabs his wrist, sending an electric shock through Jeongguk’s body, and moves it away from his face, scanning over his features.
“Oh, you’re pretty..”
