Jimin is used to straight siblings of his friends not liking him. He’s been through that his whole youth. So when he first meets Jin’s younger brother, he really isn’t all that unfamiliar with that cold, judging stare.

What he is unfamiliar with, is the way it lingers.

Usually, the siblings just ignore him and stay as far away as possible, but not Jeongguk.

Jeongguk is always around. Even when he and Jin are just gaming, or swimming in the pool outside. Jeongguk even tags along to the clubs they go to. Their eyes always meet, and there’s a certain glint in Jeongguk’s that is unlike how any other straight guy looks at him.

it’s the way they dart down to his lips, the way they scan over him when he’s dressed for a night out, or the way they linger on his ass when he’s in just swimming trunks.

It’s during a hot day, when Jin is using the restroom in the club, and Jeongguk is basically devouring him with his eyes from the other side of the room, that Jimin can’t take it anymore.

He walks up to him.

“Can I talk to you?”

Jeongguk is immediately on high alert.

“Now?”

Jimin nods, and gestures to a more secluded place, in the corner of the club. He doesn’t want to embarrass Jeongguk in front of his friends.

When he has him alone, he just goes for it.

“Are you into guys?”

Jeongguk’s eyebrows raise immediately, and he blinks like he’s malfunctioning.

“What? No. I’m straight, I thought you knew that.”

Oh boy.

Jimin bites his tongue, considers keeping it to himself but he can’t.

“Yeah, well. For a straight guy, your eyes are inviting me a lot. They’re all over me, all the time.”

Jeongguk looks at him in genuine disbelief. Jimin just raises a brow at him, demands a response.

It comes in a scoff, and then a huff, and Jeongguk opening and closing his mouth and shaking his head. It’s like he wants to say that it’s ridiculous, and yet nothing is coming out. He’s just buffering.

Jimin rolls his eyes.

“Look, if you want to explore your sexuality, you can tell me instead of trying to undress me with your eyes. I won’t tell your brother.”

This time around he doesn’t wait for a response, walks right past Jeongguk towards the bar, but he catches that soft gasp on his way there, and it makes the corner of his mouth curl up just a little bit.
