It appears that we both know somethin about riding (Patreon)

He remembers his first encounter with Jimin like the back of his hand.
He had been riding in the night, just to get his mind off. It’s always quiet on the road at 4 am, Jeongguk loves watching the light pass by him, loves following the moonlight.
Jimin had caught up next to him on his bike. Jeongguk remembers the print of the moon phases on the back of Jimin’s jacket, remembers that lithe frame. He remembers the way Jimin had challenged him wordlessly, just looking at him through his helmet.
It was kind of a rush. Jimin was really good, Jeongguk had difficulty catching up. He remembers that as the first time ever since his best friend passed that he genuinely had fun again.
There had been a last streetlight they both saw, and marked as their finish line with just the exchange of a look. They passed the light at the same time, but to this day still both claim they won.
And maybe even more than the race, he remembers Jimin taking his helmet off, remembers the first time his eyes landed on that electric pink hair under that street light, and that angel face.
He remembers how Jimin had given him that wicked grin, that sly tilt of his head.
“So, it appears we both know something about riding.”
The double entendre had Jeongguk’s heart beat a little faster, had made him stutter a little, he doesn’t remember what he said exactly. Must have made a fool out of himself. And Jimin had made sure to make fun of him for that as well.
In hindsight, he knows that’s the moment he fell in love.
