He’s not trying to bring stat boosts into the real world, he’s pointing out the fact that, if the charisma stat can actually force people in the game to agree to things they don’t want to, like the Hat in episode 3 did, that means the nerve gear has the potential to brainwash anyone who puts it on. He’s got an R&D team researching dedicated mind control technology specifically. The fact that the game was built entirely using code stolen from SAO is why Kirito’s stats carried over from his account.

One thing you may see a lot of in the YouTube comments that may not make sense in the context of the abridged series, Kirito and Sugaha had a weird incest plot in the original anime. In the original SAO, Sugaha was not Kirito's sister but his maternal first cousin. They were raised as siblings, however, and she has this whole unrequited crush that gets weird real quick. Something Witty nixed that plotline completely. They rewrote her to be his bullying older sister. As time goes in the next few episodes you'll see her backstory is actually quite compelling and complex, far more than in the original IMHO. Another thing to keep in mind, the original SAO was very fanservice-y to the point of being a harem. Basically, every female character Kirito interacts with (with exception to Yui, thankfully) ends up having a crush on him. These sort of problematic tendencies only got worse as time went on. The whole Asuna damsel plot gets real dark and gratuitous, in a very unnecessary way. Thankfully, Something Witty managed to take one of the darkest upcoming scenes involving Asuna and make it one of the funniest. But that's gonna be the recurring pattern going forward: Something Witty rewriting every awful, problematic storyline Reki Kawahara ever came up with into something far more funny and relatable.
