This is gonna be an interesting month, folks.

We are in a weird, transitional moment. So. The Plan.

I will be starting Mashle as a new solo show. It tied with Log Horizon as the one people wanted me to see.

HOWEVER. Alek and I have finished up Witch Hat Atelier, so he and I have started watching Log Horizon together. That will also start going up this week.

Jess and I are almost finished the Owl House, but have been very busy doing Inquisition requests, so the plan for us is to knock a lot of that out of the way, and start filming Gargoyles and Full Metal Alchemist to be posted starting in October.

In the meantime, I'll be posting Gunsmith Cats, as there are only 3 episodes, and a couple of other random videos that are either one offs, or compilations of a sort.

This will help me get things more organized for next month, so I don't have nearly as many days where I'm sometimes posting three videos in a day for some people.

If you have questions, DM me.

Thanks!

-Lauren

Oh log horizon finally won? Personally my favorite Isekai, because you can tell the author actually played an MMORPG once in his life, unlike several other authors. The other authors just use the video game as an excuse to put the character in a completely bog standard fantasy world, and forget the video game stuff.

Alek knows WAY more about MMORPG than me, lol. So he's been having fun schooling me.

That reminded me mashle had a 3rd season coming

Oh damn had missed that you started Log Horizon, I’m stoked that you started, as it is one of my favorite in a game type Isekai, tho still a little bummed that it’s subbed, as these days I have a lot of difficulty reading subs because of issues with my health. Totally understand if it’s your preference, as I don’t necessarily expect to be catered to. I just really hope that you do watch the dub of Fullmetal Alchemist, as I think that the dub is pretty universally beloved, even by a lot of sub enjoyers. Side note, don’t know if you’ve ever considered it, but there technically is a way that you could fairly simply provide both subs and dubs reactions for various anime, I mean it’s not perfect, but could be a really nice option for the sake of accessibility. It would just take a little bit of tweaking to your current capture setup and another reactor seems to have effectively implemented it when I suggested it. Where you essentially make a point of capturing/outputting multiple separate audio channels, one including the anime audio itself and one with your actual commentary/mic audio. That way with your own commentary audio isolated, you could just swap in the dubbed audio track It’s actually even easier if you are capturing from video files and not a streaming service. As it’s actually possible with a specific obs plugin to capture multiple audio tracks from a video file at the same time, but iirc you may have to capture the video through obs itself and not another media player, although I do believe it’s still possible with VLC, it’s just done differently. Obviously given you have a video file that contains multiple languages, but pretty much all of my media library files I’ve source do have multiple language tracks. But in that case it’s as simple as muting one or the other audio channels when editing. Considering your reaction is going to be mostly the same regardless of whether it’s sub or dub. In any case that’s just a thought that I’ve seen someone I suggested to pull off, but I understand if you think thats more trouble than it’s worth, Just thought it could be a cool way of providing content for both audiences of sub and dub. As I know as far as accessibility goes, some visual and other impairments can make it pretty rough to enjoy subs. I know since my first brain surgery I just have too much eye strain and issue with focus to really enjoy subs the way I used to. Hell even if you just were willing to upload a version of your anime reactions with your commentary audio isolated from the anime audio, we could just attempt to sync it up with the dubbed anime ourselves.
