Hey folks. As you may be aware, I’ve been making more of an effort to keep y’all in the loop regarding what’s going on in my life. I know my posts haven’t been super dense the last two weeks or so, and that there has been a notable drop in quality. Honestly I’ve been burned out, and just attempting to power through it. In addition to that I made a lot of appointments I’d been holding off on due to covid, and have been in and out of the house more than usual. I’m also also actively trying to work on my work/life balance. When I’m not burned out, there’s a pretty good chance that I’ll wake up, start working, finish working 13-16 hours later go to bed, rinse and repeat. Obviously that’s not healthy. In the interest of that I’ve started working on some non-Grumpy related projects such as the back garden, and what used to be my daily practice of writing and drawing in my moleskine. I’m also in the process of constructing a Vivarium, for which I’m taking inspiration from one of my favorite artists, Andy Goldsworthy (low res pic of the piece in question attached) today I’m writing this post, and getting back to work on Enter Contessa, hopefully with some renewed vigor. I hope that this post finds you in good spirits and that it’s helpful in understanding where I’m at at the moment. Additionally, if you’re so inclined, the new single from my band is out. It’s called “Book of Moths” by “Bad Rat?” Which you can find on all platforms. It’s a bop. If you need some vibes, check it out!
