Chapter 404: Trading Death God's Power, the Birth of the Death Slayer
After hearing Rhodes' words, the Death God Ynnead's illusory form betrayed no emotion, but the psychic energy radiating from his entire being only grew stronger!
Clearly, Rhodes had angered this Death God.
"You are not yet a true god! You are not qualified to bargain with me! You are merely one of the more powerful beings in the material universe!" Death God Ynnead said.
An invisible wave of psychic pressure bore down on Rhodes. Tartarus, standing to the side, was about to act, but Rhodes waved him off—Rhodes' own mental strength was more than enough to withstand the Death God's psychic oppression!
Frankly, without a body, the Death God was no match for Rhodes in the material universe!
"But as a human, I do have the right to challenge you. I'm more perfect than you. You're just a god in the Warp, while I am strong in both the Warp and the material universe. If I wanted, I could banish you from reality altogether," Rhodes said.
"So, you humans intend to tear up the pact between our peoples? Just like the Emperor once did?" Death God Ynnead replied.
As a god of order in the Warp, Ynnead possessed immense power, but he had yet to be truly born. His influence in the material universe was negligible—less than even a Primarch.
Faced with someone at Rhodes' level, Ynnead had no real way to resist. Rhodes was fully capable of banishing him from reality.
"Don't put words in my mouth. The pact between humanity and the Eldar was made by the Laughing God, the Goddess of Life, and the Emperor. You're just a byproduct!
You haven't even been born yet! When you truly become the legendary Death God who can end the Chaos Gods, then I'll show you the respect you crave!" Rhodes said.
"The Goddess of Life has obtained a physical body to walk the material universe. The Aeldari God of War will soon have one too after his resurrection.
Even the Laughing God Cegorach—if he wants, you'd give him a suitable vessel as well. He can already possess any Harlequin in the material universe.
But I, the Aeldari Death God, have nothing! This deal isn't fair to me.
Anything the other Aeldari gods can give you, I can give as well—and I am stronger than all of them," Ynnead said, his tone softening as he shed the innate arrogance of an Aeldari god.
He had no choice—reality was stronger than ideals, and he needed to walk in the material universe as soon as possible.
The Goddess of Life and the Laughing God's revivals didn't pose any threat to him; in fact, they'd even help his birth since they were all on the same side.
Besides, neither of them liked meddling—Cegorach hid in the Black Library, and the Goddess of Life was even stranger, having fallen for a human and become pregnant with a god-child, leaving other matters alone.
But the Aeldari God of War, Khaine, was different. Once revived, with his Ynnari and the faith Ynnead had just built among the Aeldari, Khaine would quickly take over, given his forceful nature.
Ynnead's power stemmed from Aeldari deaths, but their faith could strengthen him as well!
So contesting faith was critical—unlike the Goddess of Life and the Laughing God, who were beloved by the Aeldari, the Goddess of Life, as the Aeldari's mother, held most of their faith.
Worse still, once Khaine revived, he'd have a body to walk the material universe—a huge advantage!
That's why Ynnead wanted his grand seer to offer up their body for him to possess, so he could temporarily walk the material world, not just rely on an avatar of death.
"I see what you need! The Laughing God gave me access to the Webway and helped me rescue a Primarch.
The Goddess of Life even offered herself to me, bearing my god-child—only then did I help her. So why should I help you?" Rhodes asked.
Reviving the Aeldari God of War was to have him take the hits—adding the Death God to the mix wasn't a bad idea. Ynnead could replace the emissary and formally lead the Ynnari.
Given Ynnead's personality, he'd definitely clash with the God of War, preventing Aeldari unity—a good thing for Rhodes.
Rhodes was willing to help, but had to get something substantial in return. The Death God's power was uniquely valuable.
"What do you want? If I can give it, it's yours," Ynnead replied.
As long as he could walk in the material universe, any price was worth it.
"I'll help you get a complete body worthy of you. But you must give me your true Death God power," Rhodes said.
Now that he had a Slaanesh Slayer and the Emperor's Avatar, Rhodes wanted to see what would happen if an Ace Killer absorbed Death God power!
Yvraine already had resurrection powers for the dead—not perfect, but with system enhancement, who knew?
"Most of my power is with my emissary. Even if I can walk in reality, my divine power won't be strong—I'm not fully born yet," Ynnead said.
"Then give me your strongest Death God power now," Rhodes replied.
"Very well! I accept your terms!" After a moment's thought, Ynnead agreed.
He'd been summoned to the material universe for over two years, during which every death in the galaxy had made him stronger. A little divine power was worth it for a perfect birth.
"Good! I'll use some Aeldari flesh to make you a special shell, one perfectly suited to you," Rhodes said with a grin.
With all he controlled, making a super-beast body for the Death God was a breeze.
"Yvraine! Summon the Death God Avatar—it'll be key material for the Death God's body," Rhodes ordered.
The Death God Avatar, a strange manifestation of Death God power, was like the God of War's avatar, perfect as a fusion material. Once Ynnead had a real body, the avatar was obsolete anyway.
"Understood!" Yvraine nodded, chanted a spell, and summoned her ace weapon—the Death God Avatar, a three-meter armored figure radiating death.
She nodded at Tartarus, who opened a golden portal to send the avatar to Yapool's domain.
Then, by Rhodes' order, Yapool immediately got to work: extracting Aeldari flesh and the avatar, mixing in extradimensional and Warp energy to synthesize a new body.
…
An hour later, they'd created a body from Aeldari flesh, the Death God Avatar, extradimensional and Warp energy—able to grow huge, but normally Aeldari-sized.
It possessed immense physical power, fully at the level of a super-lifeform, and great Warp adaptability. Because of the avatar, it perfectly matched the Death God's soul.
Seeing this perfect body, Ynnead was stunned with joy—it fit him far better than the emissary's ever had!
Ynnead immediately attempted to possess it.
"Wait—you've not finished our deal. Where's the Death God power?" Rhodes stopped him.
"I won't renege. But you need something to store my Death God power—an ordinary vessel won't do," said Ynnead.
"Don't worry, I have just the thing." Rhodes smiled, spent 100,000 system coins, and exchanged for an Ace Killer.
A forty-meter giant in simple golden armor, with a red body, appeared before the Death God.
"Aim for the green gem on its chest and inject your Death God power," Rhodes instructed.
Ynnead nodded and shot a grayish divine energy, injecting it into the Ace Killer.
The Ace killer's body changed drastically—the red turned a terrifying gray-white, like the color of death.
Its armor turned black-gray, its eyes changed color, and it radiated death—the Death Slayer was born.
Rhodes checked the Death Slayer's stats—the enhancement options were like the Emperor's Avatar and Slaanesh Slayer, but the Death God power had an ultimate enhancement:
For ten million system coins, it could perform a perfect resurrection—once.
Chapter 405: Perfect Resurrection? The Power of Death
The perfect resurrection description was intriguing: if the Death Slayer was killed, he could use this power to instantly revive, fully healed and restored—not Rhodes' system-fueled repair, but a true resurrection.
It was both a passive and active skill—usable on others, too. Anyone, no matter how long dead or what state, could be revived with this power, ignoring all prerequisites and directly invoking the power of death itself.
To Rhodes, it was like a one-time, premium service: first, max out a Death Slayer (costing 8-9 million coins), then spend another 10 million for the resurrection—a total of 20 million coins for a single perfect resurrection.
Of course, the resurrection had its limits—it could only revive mortal-level beings, not full gods.
Still, it was incredibly powerful—Rhodes considered reviving fallen Primarchs or Imperial heroes, like Ferrus Manus or Sigismund, or even Saint Sanguinius.
But Sanguinius' soul was now so powerful that even reviving his body wouldn't contain it—the body would collapse.
So, for now, reviving Ferrus Manus, the Iron Hands Primarch, seemed the best bet.
Shouldn't the Emperor pay for that? But lately, the Emperor seems willing to give Rhodes anything except the Golden Throne.
Rhodes didn't plan to inherit the title of Second Emperor just yet! Maybe he could use this to blackmail another faction!
Rhodes pondered how to maximize the benefit of this single resurrection.
For now, reviving Ferrus Manus seemed the best option.
Forget it! The perfect resurrection cost 20 million coins—equivalent to a top-tier store upgrade. Not urgent!
Aside from perfect resurrection, the Death Slayer possessed immense death attribute power—everything Yvraine could do, he could do even more easily.
The Death Slayer was fascinating—the Ace killer was highly evolvable.
But only system-exchanged versions had such power; regular ones had just basic abilities. Absorbing Death God power only added a new ray attack. Same for the Emperor's Avatar and Slaanesh Slayer.
At that moment, Yvraine looked at Rhodes' new Death Slayer in shock—she realized how the Emperor's Avatar had been made!
Who would've guessed that the mighty, righteous Emperor's Avatar started out as such an ugly thing!
"This Death Giant's body is perfect too! I think it suits me even better," said Ynnead, staring at the transformed Death Slayer in shock.
This wasn't just absorbing divine power—it was fusing with it, stealing his strength, yet the power was now unrelated to him.
Perfect—absolutely perfect!
"You want this giant's body? I could allow it, but I've already made you a super-beast form. Don't you want it? It's fused with your avatar," Rhodes said playfully.
Rhodes had never considered fusing the Death Slayer and Death God—the Ace Killer, unlike the super-beast shell, had its own consciousness.
All of Rhodes' Emperor Avatars and Death Slayers had independent personalities—they weren't just living weapons.
As soon as Rhodes finished speaking, the Death Slayer glared at Ynnead.
"Of course, the more perfect the body, the better! If I could get the giant's body, it'd make fighting Chaos much easier in the future," Ynnead said.
The super-beast shell Rhodes made, fused with the Death God's avatar and lordly flesh, was powerful—but compared to the Death Giant, it was lacking.
Both could grow huge, but godly instinct told Ynnead the Death Giant was more precious.
Rhodes laughed—this Aeldari Death God sure knew quality. Honestly, the Ace Killer, bought for 100,000 points, was the best deal of all the monsters.
If not for being a living weapon, Rhodes would put it in the million-point prize pool.
It could absorb any kind of power and be system-enhanced—truly perfect.
"You want the giant's body? Those things are expensive—you can't afford one," Rhodes said.
"I don't have the means now, but in the future, I will. Reserve me one! I want the most perfect version—a custom Death Giant body," Ynnead replied.
After seeing the Emperor's Avatar's power, he believed a perfect Death Giant body would let him unleash his full power in the material universe.
Then he'd rule the galaxy.
"Fine! If you're interested, we'll see what you offer in future. For now, make do with this!" Rhodes snapped his fingers, and the Death Slayer vanished as if it had never been there.
Ynnead smiled, entered the super-beast body, and began transforming it with death energy.
A gray-white energy wrapped the body, the healthy Aeldari skin turning corpse-pale, even the muscles a bit withered—serious deathly decay.
Rhodes frowned—what was going on? Why the severe deathly decay in the super-beast shell fused with the avatar?
But Ynnead's soul didn't leave, and the decay didn't worsen.
The body and Death God seemed to reach a balance—still corpse-faced, but stabilizing.
Ynnead opened his eyes—his first time with a real body. It didn't feel perfect; it was like controlling a puppet, and he could sense the ongoing decay.
His death power was no joke—arguably the most domineering force in the universe. Only Nurgle's power was comparable.
Nurgle's power brought mutation; his brought death—if you couldn't absorb it, you became a vessel of death.
Without the avatar's fusion, the body would've rotted instantly on possession.
"Mr. Rhodes, it seems your product isn't quite as perfect as you claimed," Ynnead said, voice chilling.
"I never said it would perfectly suit your soul, but it's usable! Just a little deathly corrosion. You know, not many things in this universe can bear your power," Rhodes replied.
The only thing he had that could hold Death God power perfectly was the Death Slayer.
But that was Rhodes' trump card—not to be given away lightly!
A weaker being could be controlled by fusing with a Death Slayer.
But Ynnead was not among them.
The Death Slayer had consciousness but a weak soul—even the Slaanesh Slayer was weaker than a Primarch.
Even if Rhodes maxed out a Death Slayer with the system, only its divine power and physical might increased—the soul remained fragile.
If Ynnead possessed a Death Slayer, he could easily swallow its soul.
For the future, Rhodes planned to have Yapool make a basic Ace Killer to hand over.
"I can use this body for now, but as I use my power, the death aura will only grow. Eventually, the death energy will reduce it to bones," Ynnead said.
His death power was unlike any other. If it were life power, it'd actually help normal beings. But death power only brought death.
"When this body reaches its limit, I'll prepare a new one for you—provided you pay me well," Rhodes said.
"Deal." Ynnead nodded and left, using his own death power to stabilize the body.
How he'd explain his grand seer's disappearance and his own return to the Death God army was not Rhodes' concern.
Before leaving, Ynnead waved at Yvraine, reclaiming all the death power he'd lent her.
But with Rhodes' cosmic beasts, Yvraine didn't lose much.
"So I'm free—from today, I'm no longer the Death God Emissary of the Ynnari."
Once sure Ynnead had left, Yvraine let out a long sigh of relief.
It had always been nerve-wracking acting as the Death God's Emissary!
"Don't worry. Stay by my side, and you'll never have to fear the Death God again," Rhodes said.
Luckily, Yvraine hadn't agreed to let the Death God possess her—the corrosion was no joke.
She could use some death power herself, but it was nothing like direct possession.
"Rhodes, I suspect the deathly decay was for your benefit—Ynnead wants your giant's body," Yvraine mused.
"Oh? Why do you say that?"
"Think, Rhodes. The Death God's power isn't just about controlling death—he can resurrect life. When you revived your Primarch, his power was key. The Death God governs both death and life," Yvraine said.
Her words hit Rhodes like a flash of insight—she was right. The Death God's power could revive!
That perfect resurrection wasn't just theory! Was it really impossible for the Death God to control his own energy's effect on a body?
"If he can pay, giving him an extradimensional body isn't out of the question," Rhodes said.
"By the way, there's something you need to prepare for," Yvraine said.
Chapter 406: Yvraine's Confidence and Disappointment, the Emperor and the Death God
"What is it? Don't tell me—you're pregnant?" Rhodes asked.
Yvraine had been intimate with him—was she expecting?
"What are you thinking? Unless the Goddess of Life helps, no Aeldari woman can bear your child," Yvraine rolled her eyes.
"So, what do you need me to prepare for?" Rhodes asked.
"I've resigned as emissary to follow you. I suspect some of the Ynnari follower may follow me, not the Death God. What will you do with them?" Yvraine asked.
The core Ynnari were her old subordinates from her days as a Dark Eldar succubus, plus some Aeldari Corsairs.
They'd follow her, emissary or not.
"That's tricky. Keeping you both is fine, but if I secretly keep a whole bunch of Aeldari, my own subordinates won't be happy," Rhodes said.
Keeping two Aeldari women was one thing—his people and Imperial high command would turn a blind eye; many nobles had done similar things.
But a whole Aeldari army? That was another matter—one of principle, not personal preference.
"So you want them to follow the Death God? You said yourself—the Death God and God of War will be at the heart of the galactic maelstrom.
Anyway, these are brothers who've followed me for centuries—please, take care of them. Even if they can't openly serve you, find them a place in secret," Yvraine said.
"How about this? If it's not too many, I'll send them to an untouched Aeldari maiden world—let them live there. Deal?" Rhodes suggested.
They couldn't stay by his side—he only trusted his gene-children and system-spawned monsters.
Keeping an Aeldari army on his turf was out—even in a secret base.
Best option: find an abandoned maiden world. There was one in the Octarius sector, now controlled by Gromm Hellroar.
Accommodating even the whole Ynnari army there would be no issue.
"Maiden world? Those are either protected or conquered! Where exactly?" Yvraine asked.
"Octarius sector—your people have a maiden world there."
"Impossible! That's Ork territory, and there's a massive war with the Tyranids. Sending my people there is sending them to die!" Yvraine protested.
The Octarius sector was chaos—whole Ynnari army would be nothing there. The Orks and Tyranids were titans now.
"Your intel's outdated. I guarantee that the maiden world is safe. Let your people settle there. Meanwhile, they can stay in my secret base. How many are there?" Rhodes asked.
Assuming anyone actually comes.
"I estimate twenty or thirty thousand," Yvraine said.
She'd considered persuading Rhodes to accept her troops, but realized it was awkward—her subordinates would accept her as leader, but never her man.
Many in the army had even been her suitors; her old sword instructor was hiding among them, posing as a red-armored warrior.
If they stayed, Rhodes would be annoyed—maybe even get rid of them, knowing his temperament.
Besides, to most powers, tens of thousands of Ynnari troops was strong, but for Rhodes, it was nothing!
His power ranked among the galactic elite—otherwise the Emperor wouldn't work so hard to bring him into the Imperium.
After settling things, Rhodes and Yvraine spent the night together—Isha was busy fusing the God of War's fragments, and Elena was with her gene-daughter, so Rhodes and Yvraine could enjoy some time alone.
Their passionate embrace intensified as clothing fell away, revealing every inch of their eager bodies. Yvraine's lithe Eldar form was a stark contrast to Rhodes' muscular human physique, yet they fit together perfectly. Her perky breasts pressed against his broad chest as his large, calloused hands roamed her smooth skin.
Rhodes' mouth found Yvraine's neck, kissing and sucking as she moaned breathlessly. Her delicate fingers traced the scars on his back, feeling the strength beneath. As they tumbled onto the bed, Rhodes' impressive manhood stood proudly erect, while Yvraine's intimate folds glistened with arousal.
"Take me," Yvraine purred, spreading her legs invitingly. Rhodes growled as he positioned himself, the swollen head of his cock teasing her entrance. With one powerful thrust, he sheathed himself fully inside her tight, wet heat.
"Oh fuck!" Yvraine cried out, her back arching as she took his full length. Rhodes set a punishing pace, his hips slamming against hers as he pounded into her willing body. The sound of flesh slapping against flesh filled the room, punctuated by their moans and cries of ecstasy.
Yvraine's breasts bounced with each thrust as Rhodes gripped her hips, angling deeper. His thick shaft stretched her deliciously, hitting all the right spots. "Harder!" she begged, and Rhodes was happy to oblige.
As their passion reached a fever pitch, Rhodes flipped Yvraine onto her hands and knees. He mounted her from behind, driving into her with animalistic fervor. Yvraine's cries of pleasure echoed off the walls as Rhodes' heavy balls slapped against her sensitive clit with each thrust.
Their bodies glistened with sweat as they chased their release. Yvraine's inner walls clenched around Rhodes' throbbing member as she neared her peak. With a final, deep thrust, they tumbled over the edge together.
Rhodes roared as he emptied himself inside her, thick ropes of cum painting her insides. Yvraine's body shuddered in ecstasy, milking every last drop from him as her own orgasm washed over her in waves.
They collapsed onto the bed, panting and utterly satisfied. As they caught their breath, Rhodes' softening cock slipped from Yvraine's well-used pussy, a mixture of their fluids leaking out onto the sheets.
"Ready for round two?" Yvraine asked with a mischievous grin, her hand already reaching for Rhodes' spent member.
Rhodes chuckled, feeling himself hardening again at her touch. "Always," he growled, pulling her in for another passionate kiss as they prepared to lose themselves in pleasure once more.
Rhodes and Yvraine's passionate encounter continued with renewed vigor. Their bodies entwined once more as Rhodes flipped Yvraine onto her back, spreading her legs wide. His mouth descended between her thighs, tongue laving her sensitive folds as she writhed in ecstasy.
Yvraine's fingers tangled in Rhodes' hair, pulling him closer as his skilled tongue worked magic on her clit. "Oh fuck, yes!" she cried out, her back arching off the bed. Rhodes slipped two thick fingers inside her, curling them to hit that perfect spot as he sucked hard on her swollen nub.
Waves of pleasure crashed over Yvraine as she came undone under Rhodes' ministrations, her thighs clamping around his head as she rode out her intense orgasm. But Rhodes wasn't done yet. He kissed his way up her body, capturing a pert nipple between his teeth as his rock-hard cock nudged at her entrance.
"Please," Yvraine whimpered, beyond ready to feel him inside her again. Rhodes obliged, sinking into her tight heat with a groan of pure bliss. He set a relentless pace, his hips snapping against hers as he pounded into her willing body.
The room filled with the sounds of their passionate lovemaking - skin slapping against skin, breathless moans, and filthy words of encouragement. Yvraine's nails raked down Rhodes' back, leaving angry red welts in their wake as she met him thrust for thrust.
Their bodies moved together in perfect harmony, chasing that exquisite peak. Yvraine felt the familiar tightening in her core as another orgasm approached. "I'm close," she gasped, clutching Rhodes tighter.
"Come for me," Rhodes growled, his pace becoming erratic as he neared his own release. With a final, deep thrust, they tumbled over the edge together. Yvraine's inner walls clamped down on Rhodes' throbbing cock as she came with a keening cry. Rhodes followed right after, emptying himself deep inside her with a guttural moan.
They collapsed onto the bed, sweaty and sated, limbs still entangled. As they caught their breath, Yvraine nuzzled into Rhodes' neck with a contented sigh. "That was incredible," she murmured.
Rhodes chuckled, pulling her closer. "It always is with you," he replied, pressing a tender kiss to her forehead.
Rhodes and Yvraine's passionate night continued with unbridled enthusiasm. Their bodies entwined again and again, exploring every inch of each other with hands, lips, and tongues. They experimented with various positions, each more intense than the last.
Yvraine's cries of ecstasy echoed through the room as Rhodes brought her to climax after climax. His stamina seemed endless, his desire for her insatiable. They made love on every surface of the room - the bed, against the wall, on the floor, even balanced precariously on a chair.
As the hours passed, their lovemaking grew more frenzied and primal. Yvraine's body trembled with each new wave of pleasure, her mind hazy with bliss. Rhodes' powerful thrusts never faltered, driving them both to new heights of ecstasy.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity of passion, Rhodes reached his limit. With a roar of satisfaction, he emptied himself inside Yvraine one last time, collapsing beside her on the bed. Yvraine lay there, utterly spent and boneless, her body quivering from the intensity of their marathon session.
"I... I can't move," Yvraine mumbled, a blissful smile on her face despite her exhaustion. Her limbs felt like lead, pleasantly sore from their vigorous activities.
Rhodes chuckled, pulling her close. "Then rest, my love. You've more than earned it."
…
…
The return of the Death God's true form shocked the Aeldari, but all their factions welcomed it.
After all, the Death God was their prophesied hope to end Slaanesh.
The true Death God was far stronger than any avatar!
Craftworlders, Exodites, Harlequin, Corsairs, and Death God armies all pledged loyalty to Ynnead!
The Death God was seen as a savior—almost as respected as the Asuryan and the Goddess of Life Isha, and far more than the God of War.
Yet something stunned Yvraine—none of her subordinates defected to her!
That's right—the entire Ynnari chose to keep their faith in Ynnead and follow him to war, instead of laying down arms or following their former leader.
Yvraine didn't realize that by following Rhodes and giving up her Emissary title, her reputation among the Aeldari had plummeted—even loyal warriors felt bitterly disappointed.
Even though the Aeldari had allied with humanity and Rhodes had shown great power, he'd taken both the Goddess of Life and the Death God Emissary.
Many Aeldari warriors felt insulted—were there no worthy Aeldari men left? You chose a hairless monkey?
To Aeldari, no matter how strong, Rhodes was still a monkey.
They'd followed Yvraine for her status as the Death God's emissary—their true hope!
Now, as a human's consort, did she expect them to follow?
Instead of defecting to her, Yvraine received only letters of severance—including from many former admirers.
"How could this happen?" Yvraine's face darkened as she read the letters.
She'd confidently promised Rhodes that many subordinates would join her, had even planned their resettlement—only to get this.
The slap in the face was sudden and unexpected.
"This is normal. Did they follow you for your charisma? No—they followed your beauty," Rhodes said.
"Hmph! I'll go see for myself. The Death God must have forced them to write these!" Yvraine, angry, dressed and armed herself to leave.
"Don't bother! You'll only humiliate yourself. Believe me—I know how those Aeldari warriors feel. Now, none of your old admirers will look kindly on you," Rhodes said.
Once a woman has a man, she's no goddess. You need to see that. With a boyfriend, who would still fawn over you?
Plus, with a Death God in charge, why would anyone join you?
"Damn it! Whatever, I did my best. I at least built up the Ynnari, and at least got the Death God a body," Yvraine said, annoyed.
"Haha! Relax—you're just a girl, why worry about your race's fate? Leave that to the Death God and God of War," Rhodes laughed.
…
Meanwhile, in the Imperial Palace on Terra, the Emperor and his sons were talking.
"This Rhodes fellow has unusual tastes, but his power is real—he even got the Death God a suitable body," Vulkan said.
"He's truly formidable. Even our own revivals are thanks to him. Without Rhodes, only I might have been fully revived," Guilliman said.
Without Rhodes, Cegorach couldn't have rescued Vulkan's soul from the Ork gods.
Without Rhodes, Magnus wouldn't have returned to the Imperium, or been a Primarch again.
Without Rhodes, Horus wouldn't have returned as the Dark Giant to restrain Abaddon on the Imperium's dark side.
Nor would Guilliman have awakened his divine power and become a minor god!
"Father! I sense a powerful psychic presence—the Aeldari Death God is here!" Magnus announced.
"Don't worry, I will speak to the Aeldari Death God personally," replied the Emperor.
