Chapter 552: The enraged Dai Hao; Huo Yuhao slaps Dai Huabin

Ju Zi raised her hand, and the surrounding Holy Slayer Legion soldiers parted to open a path.

Surrounded by rank upon rank of troops, Ju Zi walked to a point three meters before Dai Hao's family and finally stopped.

Huo Yuhao followed at Ju Zi's side, his gaze just as icy as he stared at Dai Hao.

"You… who are you? Why are you targeting my White Tiger Duke's Manor?"

Dai Hao was covered in blood, his face ashen.

The sudden onslaught had shattered his spirit.

All his power had come to nothing; the White Tiger Duke's Manor he had painstakingly built lay in ruins; the Dai line was nearly cut off. Dai Hao was already disheartened.

He was simply unwilling.

Unwilling!

What kind of deep hatred was this? Why would they take such revenge on the White Tiger Duke's Manor?

He had already recognized that the troops before him were not forces the Star Luo Empire could possess.

But the Star Luo Empire must have reached some kind of understanding with them.

With such a huge commotion, not a single person from the Star Luo imperial capital had come to aid—enough to explain everything.

Dai Hao felt only sorrow—sorrow for himself.

He knew he likely wouldn't be spared. Before dying, he just wanted to understand.

Ju Zi let out a cold laugh. "The White Tiger Duke is truly a noble who forgets easily. Have you forgotten what you did on the Sun Moon border?"

"My father died by your hand."

Dai Hao knit his brows, thought carefully, but had no impression at all.

"You're… from the Sun Moon Empire?"

He stared at Ju Zi, deeply puzzled.

People of the Sun Moon Empire could come to the Star Luo Empire to kill?

"It seems you've forgotten completely. Of course you have—you're the exalted White Tiger Duke, while my father was just a conscripted little cook."

"How would you remember such a small character?"

"But heaven has eyes. Today, I can finally avenge my dad. Dai Hao, I will turn your White Tiger Duke's Manor to dust."

Ju Zi roared, her eyes bloodshot.

Years of a long-cherished wish had all been for this moment; she could hardly control her emotions.

Dai Hao stayed silent.

Just because of this, their White Tiger Duke's Manor was gone?

Ridiculous. Ridiculous!

With a grave expression, Dai Hao said, "I have no recollection of your father's matter. If you want revenge on me, I can accept that."

"But when two nations fight, each serves their lord. Even if I killed your father, taking revenge on me alone is enough. Why implicate my White Tiger Duke's Manor?"

"Why?!"

As he spoke, Dai Hao could no longer hold back and roared.

Ju Zi let out a strange laugh, a deep hatred in her eyes. "Because you made my family fall apart. I want you to taste that too."

"I want you to watch your brothers, friends, lover, and children die one by one. I want you to regret coming into this world. Hahaha!"

Her tone sharpened; her expression edged on manic.

Such deep hatred lodged in her heart had twisted it silently.

If it wasn't vented for too long, it could even turn into madness.

This was one of the reasons Su Yu had Ju Zi take revenge now—this couldn't be delayed any longer.

"You… so ruthless!"

Dai Hao gnashed his teeth. This woman had a vicious heart.

Suddenly, something struck him. Rage flooded his eyes and he bellowed, "Was it you? Did you turn me and my sons into eunuchs? Was that your doing?"

If Dai Huabin becoming a eunuch could be written off as an accident,

then he himself, Dai Yaoheng, and Dai Luoli had definitely been deliberately targeted in revenge.

He had once suspected Xu Jiawei. Now it seemed likely it had all been this woman's doing.

Hearing him, Ju Zi blinked—so this guy was also a eunuch?

She faintly understood who had done it.

But if it was Su Yu, it was no different than her doing it.

He had avenged her; thereafter she would be the knife in his hand—she could give him everything.

"That's right. I did it. So, how is it—being a girl? Not bad, right?"

Ju Zi's lip curled with a flirtatious sneer.

"You… pfft…"

Dai Hao suddenly spat a mouthful of blood, glaring at Ju Zi, his face twisted like a fiend. "Bitch. Bitch!"

"You bitch!"

Dai Hao's composure shattered—completely.

He did not fear death, but that fate worse than death was unbearable.

Thinking that the instigator stood right before him, he wanted to eat her flesh, drink her blood, flay her, and grind her into paste.

Ju Zi sneered. "A eunuch with quite a temper. What a pity—just impotent rage."

She yawned and said offhandedly, "Boring. Men, kill them."

"Wait!"

Huo Yuhao suddenly spoke.

"Yuhao, something else?"

Ju Zi looked at him.

Huo Yuhao nodded. "Sister Ju Zi, could you let me handle this?"

"You?"

Ju Zi paused, then, recalling Su Yu's instructions before he left, her gaze softened. "Fine. I'll leave it to you."

"Thank you, Sister Ju Zi!"

Huo Yuhao dipped his head in thanks. When he turned back, his eyes were ice-cold once more.

He walked step by step toward the five, his eyes gradually turning blood-red.

"You… who are you?"

Dai Hao watched Huo Yuhao warily, on guard.

Huo Yuhao gave a self-mocking smile. "As expected—you'll never recognize me."

Dai Hao froze. Before he could speak, Huo Yuhao had already reached Dai Huabin.

He grabbed Dai Huabin's hair roughly and yanked him up.

"Ah! Bastard, how dare you!"

As Dai Huabin prattled on, Huo Yuhao raised his hand and slapped him. Teeth flew.

"Huabin!"

The Duchess cried out, but what greeted her was Huo Yuhao's kick.

He kicked the Duchess in the stomach; her face went white and she coughed up a large mouthful of blood.

"My lady!"

"Mother!"

"You bastard—how dare you kick my mother!"

Dai Huabin's eyes went red; he glared at Huo Yuhao viciously.

Huo Yuhao laughed bitterly, his eyes scarlet. "And when you kicked my mother and beat her to death, did you ever think there'd be a day like today?"

Dai Huabin started. "Who are you?"

Huo Yuhao laughed and slapped Dai Huabin across the face again. "My name is Huo Yuhao. My mother's name was Huo Yun'er."

"Huo Yun'er?"

"Yun'er!" Dai Hao's eyes flew wide.

"So you're that bitch's son." The Duchess wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, her gaze full of contempt.

"You're Yun'er's child?"

"Then you shouldn't be surnamed Huo. You should be surnamed Dai!"

Dai Hao, however, looked delighted.

Yun'er had even borne him a child—he actually had a child alive?

Chapter 553: The Duchess falls; Dai Huabin's fate

Huo Yuhao was enraged and shouted, "I don't bear the name Dai. I'm Huo—Huo Yuhao!"

His eyes were blood-red, like a provoked lion, gaze ready to devour. "From the moment my mother died, I swore it."

"For the rest of my life, I will only bear the name Huo!"

"I will make the Dai lineage vanish into smoke and dust. I will completely sever the White Tiger bloodline's inheritance!"

Dai Hao started. "Yuhao, do you know what you're saying?"

"You are also of the White Tiger line!"

"No—I'm not. I never was!"

"When have you ever treated my mother and me as your own?"

"You always said you loved my mother, but where were you when she was bullied?"

"Where were you when my mother and I went hungry and cold?"

"Where were you when my mother died?"

"We never enjoyed a shred of benefit from the White Tiger Duke's Manor. All this place gave me was endless humiliation."

"Today, I will wash away that humiliation and avenge my mother!"

"What are you going to do?"

Dai Hao was shocked.

Huo Yuhao gave a cold smile. "I'm going to let them taste what it's like to be kicked to death."

He threw Dai Huabin to the ground and brought his foot down.

Crack!

With a sharp crack, Dai Huabin's wail split the air.

With one stomp, Huo Yuhao snapped the bones in Dai Huabin's foot.

"Huabin—Yuhao, stop! Do you know what you're doing?"

Dai Hao was frantic.

His own son was being so cruelly treated by another son—how could he sit still?

"Shut up. Are you teaching me how to act?"

Huo Yuhao roared, eyes blood-red, and stomped again, grinding Dai Huabin's entire leg into powder.

Dai Huabin clutched his thigh and screamed shrilly.

"Ah!!!!"

"Huabin!"

The Duchess's eyes went red. She roared, "Huo Yuhao, you wretch, how dare you do this to Huabin?"

"That slut Huo Yun'er deserved to die. My only regret is that I didn't kill you back then."

"Shut up!"

Fury surged in Huo Yuhao's chest. He seized the Duchess by the hair and yanked her up.

He slapped her across the face.

Smack!

The Duchess's face swelled high at once.

"You little bastard—you dare hit me?"

She stared at Huo Yuhao in disbelief, her eyes contemptuous.

Huo Yuhao said nothing and slapped again.

Smack!

Smack!

Smack!

…

Huo Yuhao delivered more than a dozen slaps. The once-alluring Duchess was beaten into a pig's head, both cheeks turned a dark purplish black.

"Stop!"

"Yuhao, stop!"

Dai Hao shouted, but Huo Yuhao didn't listen. He flung the Duchess to the ground and kicked her in the chest again and again.

Huo Yuhao showed no mercy. In no time, the Duchess was coughing great mouthfuls of blood.

But Huo Yuhao did not soften in the slightest—he kicked even harder.

Now a Soul Sage, his fists and feet were brutally heavy.

Coughing blood, the Duchess soon began spitting up fragments of her internal organs.

"Mother!"

"My lady!"

Dai Hao and his son cried out. Dai Huabin glared at Huo Yuhao as if he would devour him.

Huo Yuhao turned and kicked Dai Huabin flying, then drove another kick into the Duchess's heart.

She spat a mouthful of black blood, her pupils gradually dilating.

Slowly, her inhalations outpaced her exhalations.

"My lady!"

Dai Hao was plunged into grief, heartbroken.

He and his wife had deep affection. He simply could not accept this happening before his eyes.

What made it worse was that the one who killed his wife was his other son.

"Mother! Mother! Huo Yuhao, you're f—ing dead!"

Dai Huabin howled in pain, his face twisted.

Huo Yuhao sneered and planted his foot on Dai Huabin's chest. "So you do know pain."

"How does it feel to watch your own mother get kicked to death?"

"Enjoying it?"

"Don't worry—you won't get away either. But don't be afraid. I won't let you die quickly. I'll make sure you really 'live.'"

With a cold laugh, he grabbed Dai Huabin by one leg and dragged him like a dead dog toward the distance.

Ju Zi frowned. "Kill those two. Bring Dai Hao."

"No!"

Dai Hao cried out in horror, but it was useless.

Dozens of Dragon-Soaring Battalion soldiers opened fire together. Dai Yaoheng was reduced to ash on the spot.

Dai Hao's face twisted with grief—this had been the son he valued most.

"Brother, save me—save me!"

Dai Luoli begged Huo Yuhao for help. Unlike Dai Huabin, when they were in the White Tiger Duke's Manor he and Huo Yuhao had been on decent terms.

Dai Hao, as if grasping a lifeline, also pleaded, "Yuhao, spare Luoli. Your father begs you."

At a time like this, one less death was one less.

Even in the depths of grief, he still pleaded.

Huo Yuhao paused, not turning back. "Sorry, Luoli. I can't help you. If you must blame someone, blame the name you bear."

Indeed, Dai Luoli had gotten along with him, but bearing the name Dai doomed him to certain death.

That wasn't just Ju Zi's view—it was also Su Yu's.

Huo Yuhao could not risk offending those two to save Dai Luoli.

It's your fault for being a Dai.

"No—Brother, don't! I don't want to die!"

But Ju Zi gave him no chance. With a volley of gunfire, Dai Luoli fell into a pool of blood.

"Pick Dai Hao up. Move!"

Two soldiers grabbed Dai Hao like they were lifting a monkey and followed Huo Yuhao.

Not long after, dragging Dai Huabin, Huo Yuhao arrived at a slightly secluded spot.

There stood a grave.

Looking at the fresh headstone before the tomb, Huo Yuhao let out a cold laugh.

"Tomb of my beloved wife Huo Yun'er?"

"Beloved wife?"

"Where were you back then?"

Huo Yuhao flung Dai Huabin to the ground, knelt, and kowtowed three times.

"Mother, I'm back. Today, I'll use the blood of this beast Dai Huabin to comfort your spirit in heaven."

"Yuhao, don't!"

Dai Hao cried out.

But Huo Yuhao clearly didn't care. He acted as if he hadn't heard, seized Dai Huabin's arm, and tore it off.

"Today, I'll peel your skin and take you apart, to comfort my mother in heaven!"

Huo Yuhao's eyes shone with blood. And in the face of Dai Hao's horrified gaze, he truly began to skin and dismember Dai Huabin, step by step.

The ruthlessness was shocking.

Dai Hao's eyes nearly split. His chest heaved violently, and he suddenly spat a mouthful of blood.

As a father, to witness with his own eyes such a scene—where brothers should love and respect each other—was a blow beyond words.
