Remember that the dad didn't give Eren the key before he left so that makes the theory that he came back after the breaching of the wall right to give Eren the key and tell him about the basement and whatever else he did to him. Also thank you so much the reaction... Your reactions are the best 🤍

You should write down all your theories then as the story progresses, scratch the wrong ones and mark the correct ones. By the end of each season, make a recap of which theories are wrong, which are correct, and how many theories are still left unconfirmed. And make a celebration video if you manage to guess at least half of the plot 😂

I really enjoy watching with you again. you’re super detail-oriented. You don’t just sit there and let things fly by without noticing. You actually catch stuff and make smart guesses, which is awesome. I’ve seen other reactors who either barely say anything or go off on wild theories that don’t really make sense or lead anywhere. But watching with you is honestly my favorite. No shade to anyone else, of course. You’re not clueless at all. I mean you have much better comprehension than I thought. I think you’re gonna figure out the truth each season and understand the story and the conflict better than many other reactors out there.

Too bad there will be tons of people handholding and spoonfeeding him and influencing his theories. People already did this in episode 5 by saying "RIP Eren" and gaslighting him into thinking Eren is really dead. People might even confirm or deny his theories before the show does. If this happens, then his theories are not really gonna be his own.

It's kinda like a tradition in AoT community to purposely make any reactors believing in Eren's death by commenting 'RIP Eren' in every S1E5 reaction video. And I think it is a funny thing to do, making Eren's comeback in S1E8 gives more impact.

A small detail that I loved in this episode is that Captain Levi is shown to be a clean freak, even wiping the titan blood off of himself even though it will just burn off seconds later, but when the soldier is dying, he holds his hand and doesn't let go despite his blood getting on him.

just a little reminder that the key reached to eren in episode two when he was in a dream type nightmare with his dad when he was telling him that he went crazy after mom died, and then the bell ring and mikasa wakes him up, he asqued about his father but mikasa said that it was impossible to be here, then they zoomed the camera to eren chest where the key now is in his hands, making you realize that the freaky dream wasn't a dream at all and in reality that happende, the freaky dream returned in episode 9.

Tbf I didn't realise it when I first watched it either 😅 but back then I didn't bother analysing the details in anime bcos I had it my head that anime couldn't possibly have a plot that clever (I was still getting into anime and I'd watched a few disappointing ones). After watching aot, I analyse every anime I watch 😂
