Imagine getting sealed for 80 years, waking up realizing that your best spell got powercrept and then dying😂 Also don't worry, there will be a lot of fighting in the second half of the season, this show was a nominee for the best animation of 2024 among other shows such as Demon Slayer. Thanks for the upload!

Definitely a slower/cozier show, and as the other commenter said don’t worry the fight scenes go hard later on :3

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention since you said you were going to react to the OPs and EDs of Frieren soon, there's actually 3 endings instead of 2. Basically, the first 4 episodes of Frieren aired together as a single episode on Japanese TV and they made a special ending only for those 4 episodes. It's called "Bliss" and you can find it on Toho Animation's youtube channel (the producers of the anime).

Since no one else mentioned it so far: Every character and place is named after a german word that usually fits the character or the place, Frieren - to freeze / freezing (because of her cold personality) Himmel - sky or heaven Eisen - iron Heiter - cheerful Fern - distant / remote / far away Ewig (the guy who made the book that Frieren deciphered for Heiter) - eternal Qual - agony Warm (the city in this episode) - warm, its the same Größe (the forest) - size / magnitude The ö is what we call an “Umlaut” in German and can also be written as oe, the closest pronunciation that i can think of would be the o in world or the u murder The ß is a letter that only exists in the german alphabet and is a different kind of s sound, it can also be written as sz or ss
