MHA is fun, but nowhere near the quality of HxH. Too bad there's so many MHA fanboys who haven't experienced peak yet. Where HxH is comparable to Scorsese or Nolan, MHA is an Adam Sandler or Michael Bay movie

mha has over 8 seasons in total, the plot can sometimes feel drawn out, and many characters seem to have noticeable plot armor. and you said you prefer a sad sad show, i think mha isnt really a sad sad show

HxH is good but hard to watch in my first experience, mainly do to slow-ish pacing similar to one piece.

The mha hate is actually crazy 😭. I feel like because of the fandom, the show gets so much hate although the characters and the plot are so well written and the pacing is really good too. And no, I don't hate hxh, I like it but let's not hate on mha for no reason other than the fandom.

Nowhere in my comment did I hate on MHA, I even stated it's fun. But let's be real, the show is mid most of the time with only a handfull of goated moments. The fandom acting like it's the best thing ever created is weird though; it's just a simple superhero show that panders to a common denominator where it does everything at a passable level, but does nothing great consistently. It's fun, but it's the "Friends" of anime

The shows pacing is not slow at all, it moves at a consistent pace from the first episode and the entire show only has two fillers, that can be skipped anyways as they're just recap. By episode 70 you've already gone through 4 arcs, that's a good pace

Just wanting to add that Black Clover was just confirmed to be back in production, so that's something to have in the back of your mind so you can catch up before the new episodes

I would've loved either Dan da dan or Re:zero since we're only watching shows with 100+ episodes but oh well, gotta catter to the majority until ya can make a living off of these reactions.

To be honest, Dan Da Dan is the most logical choice, since it’s the shortest series, maintains consistently high quality, and Season 2 is airing right now. Hunter x Hunter is my favourite anime on the list; its storytelling shines on nearly every level—worldbuilding, characters, and plot arcs. That said, my vote goes to My Hero Academia simply because I love watching others react to it. It may not boast the strongest narrative (though it isn’t bad), but it excels at crafting unforgettable moments and building hype. In the long run, you should watch them all, of course. They made it to the final vote because each one is thoroughly enjoyable. 🔥❤️

For future reactions and polls, you could separate series into two categories: - Shorter anime (up to 50 episodes): typically one or two 24-episode seasons - Longer anime (over 50 episodes): generally three seasons or more Action-based shōnen anime tend to be more popular and can easily dominate the results, plus they take months to finish. Splitting the poll this way gives shorter series—many of which are outstanding—a better chance.

I think you need to check out this season's anime "Takupi", it's the highest rated anime ever released, it has a score of 8.6 on animelist and is very hyped in the community. It's worth checking out the first episode.

Normally I would say that you should watch HxH first, regardless of the vote, but I think you should get the other shonen anime out of the way first. HxH is peak shonen, without a doubt one of best anime of all time. HxH would probably ruin your enjoyment of other shonen anime (like My Hero) because they just wouldn't live up to the standard set by HxH if you watch it first.

You're allowed to share your opinions without needing to hate on another show - he will undoubtedly get around to watching both, it's not as if just because he watched mha he's not going to watch hxh, and it really doesn't matter the reason why people enjoy it, or prefer it to another anime, he's asked for us to vote, you can't then complain because your choice didn't win.

You can't say I'm allowed to share my opinion, then go on a rant to why I shouldn't. I'm not hating, I've stated twice now MHA is a fun show. I'm allowed to say why a show is preferable over another, it's called free speech. What people like/dislike about shows is necessary. If I was just straight up glazing MHA you would have no problem with it, so why is it so bad that I was critizising some of it? It's all just opinions, don't be so soft

Nothing I said in my post was *ranting*, but, uh, okay. And FWIW I also voted for HxH - but I don't see the need to criticise MHA or somehow try and berate those who enjoy it / prefer it to HxH, everyone has different tastes and enjoys different things.
