I have been deciding on what to do.. I currently don’t have room on the schedule but the support and want for it is INSANE! This has led me to the possible decision on this —> every Friday or Saturday night on twitch we would stream 5 EPISODES!! we then would upload VODs to a new $3 TIER on here for those that couldn’t catch the stream! Would then possibly MONTHS later upload highly edited cut up versions to YouTube!

While watching Alerts would be muted and it would be highly moderated to prevent spoilers!!

PLEASE let me know thoughts! I think this is a pretty solid idea and would love your guys feedback on here before I make a YouTube video announcing it lol 🖤🖤🖤

Yeahh. One piece is so good. One of my favorite animes. It will be a long journey, but a funny and beautiful one.

Yassine Jaaouane

Here i was expecting to get the first +1100 (season1) for free 😂😭 go for it man and enjoy, it’s a good idea to watch it on stream it’ll be fun and engaging. I’m sure you’re going to love your journey in the seas 🏴‍☠️

Branturnal

I got so many comments about my first seasons always being free & one piece “season 1” 😭😭😭

somnolent

is it gonna be set in stone if its on friday or saturday or are you gonna switch between the two?

Branturnal

I guess whichever day I’m not scheduled to work on 😭

Alpasha Shasha

This gonna be an EPIC journey! SET SAILSSSS EVERYONE!

Yassine Jaaouane

You can always upload the first arc (episodes 1-3) for free to attract more viewers and to stay on brand 🤷‍♂️ 😂

Branturnal

The first arc is only the first THREE?!

Alexander Bo

I absolutely love One Piece and it would be really cool if you started watching it. But maybe you'll finish one or two other series and then have a bit more space for it. Just so you know, there are currently about 1050 episodes without filler, which is over 4 years at 5 episodes per week. It would be okay to put it on the regular $5 tier then. I've already finished most of the first seasons anyway and will switch to the $5 tier soon :D

Zarathos Daimaoh

If i wasn't already subbing this week, i'd in a heatbeat for OP. I'm cool with the idea and for it to start ASAP. You could always change the rythm based on your needs and current output

Branturnal

The thing is, our current shows on Patreon only get two episodes a week so technically we’re getting more if we livestream it 😭 2 a week I’d be 40 by the time we’re caught up LMAO

Alexander Bo

Generally speaking, I would say that the first season corresponds to the East Blue arc, so there would be about 50 episodes.

beannie

one piece is my favorite thing in the world, this is so exciting!! watching on stream would be cool but at the same time dangerous lol🥲 there’s a lot of trolls that love to spoil, you’ll need some good mods!

Branturnal

Also likely to stream on Patreon if twitch gets ruined by trolls or copyright :3

Alexander Bo

Without a doubt, One Piece is a huge project, and no matter how you handle it, I'll watch it. And five episodes a week is better than most others; do what works best for you.

Gamefisher

Feels like you might be putting too much on your plate. Idk all the details obviously, but between your real life and uploading, your daily schedule already seems rather hectic to the point that you’re recording and uploading stuff same night around midnight or missing whole weeks of uploads. Don’t let people’s excitement pressure you into doing too much and burning out. They can wait till you finish HxH or something if that’s easier on you.

Dio

W idea. I would also recommend to watch in One Pace cut starting from Alabasta arc (around ~100 episodes in).

beannie

nice!! this is so exciting, one piece has a lot of soul, I’m sure you’re gonna love it :)❤️ and if you really commit to it I feel like there’s always gonna be support!

Rudi

After a while, when you get hooked on the plot (and you definitely will), you'll want to watch more and more episodes at a time. Just trust me. I've rewatched One Piece three times in its entirety.

Kai Raine

As a fan of One Piece, I would suggest if you only want to do a few episodes, then maybe do a few movies? Strong World and Gold are my favorites, but Baron Omatsuri is the one that has the best reputation in the community, especially for people unfamiliar with One Piece. The Breathtaking World of One Piece by Strawhat V on Youtube is also very popular in the community and highly recommended to reactors who have not yet consumed One Piece proper. I wouldn't rec doing just a handful of eps as viewership will fluctuate--people tend to skip filler and you will get LOTS of viewership on major eps and less on eps where less happens...so i don't really rec starting it unless you strongly want to watch it for yourself.

ShroomPK

Honestly, not a bad idea

Yassine Jaaouane

East Blue is a Saga which consists of Romance Dawn, Orange Town, Syrup Village, Baratie, Arlong Park, and Loguetown arcs.

NovaRuk

In my opinion, you don't really need One Pace for Pre-TS. It's Post TS that needed One Pace the most

Dark D. Ben

I can't wait to see your reaction to my favourite story ever. You will love it and wouldn't regret spending time watching it.

hmmm

Seems good

Adams

One Piece has the greatest story. i think it's a good idea, especially for you, as you are paying attention to details (got that only from your reaction to the openings). As for spoilers, well, you did watch the openings, so i dont think you would get spoiled more than what you already saw. (Even if you remember them they are light spoilers anyway; it's all about how you get there)

Aegean

Welcome on board! You will prob get hooked like the rest of us XD

axilir21

I'm not a huge fan of One Piece, but seeing the support on the youtube side, definitely go ahead. Although if you add even more episodes when you're already struggling, you might want to replace either Vinland or Apothecary by One Piece once they're finished.

Blue

One PEAK'S story and world are unmatched. 100% a great idea!

Mimi

Sounds lovely

Awkwardly Being

Slow beginning but great story telling. You'll regret not starting sooner if anything 😌👌

Shezada_

Well, I haven't watched one piece, but if the demand is there and you are cool with it, then you could start it!!

Dio

Nah, crazy fillers start from Enies lobby. But Alabasta still got some extended running scenes closer to the end of the arc, when final fight between royal army and rebel army started. If you rewatch it, you'll notice.

whistle94

bye to haikyuu ig... 😞

Geratosan

Brandon as ur favorite discord femboy I support the decision u watching one PEAK at any cost

fogs

here for it!!!! lets goooooooooooo

Wonderxfull

I like that! Streaming usually means chat is distracting, that I have seen for One Piece- lots of people like to spoil OP even passively- but if you have it strictly moderated I don't see it being an issue for you! I wouldn't be able to catch streams but I have no issue with watching the upload.

Mathew Raynor

Yesss sounds great one piece is so peak

Cooljo

With or without chat? Because some people will probably spoil or confirm theories

Kaiju Kes

Starting at 5 a weekend is a dang good start! Most reactors do about 6 episodes a week in batches of 2 or 3. I'm here just because of your One Piece reactions. You will need some serious moderators to stream it though. Will "season 1" vods be free?

NovaRuk

He already uploaded a breathtaking world recently. he even watched all the openings as well, so he already knew some characters, bits and pieces about the show

kureji

Turning off lurker mode to share my thoughts! One Piece is amazing and one of my favorite animes, but the time commitment is no joke. (I mean, the show has been airing for over 25 years...) If you're worried about time in your schedule, it might not be a bad idea to hold off starting until one of your shorter shows is done so that you don't stretch yourself too thin. That said, I feel like streaming larger chunks of episodes is probably a good call! One Piece is very binge-able and in some spots you're probably not going to want to stop at just 5 :P Also, a lot of the arcs in the first "saga" ("Sagas" are the term for the arc groups that tend to encompass an overarching plotline) are very short, some arcs being only a couple episodes, so that approach would suit progressing through the early story well. Agree with the others on having chat off/moderation for the streams though, to both avoid spoilers and let you focus on the show. In terms of avoiding filler / using One Pace, I'll echo what others have said and advise watching the show as-is pre-timeskip (roughly to ep500). One Pace is great for people familiar with OP, but I think the cuts make the early content TOO fast-paced and hard to follow for people immersing themselves in the world for the first time. Also, the pre-timeskip filler arcs are very easy to skip over if you want (they are clearly marked on the Story Arcs page of the wiki - https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/Story_Arcs) and I personally find the extended / anime-only scenes to be fun. Also one final note, if you're looking to define a "Season 1" for OP, I would propose the first Saga (the East Blue Saga, about ~55 episodes minus filler) as a safe bet. It's obviously longer than a typical 12/24 episode season, but each Saga is very cohesive and the East Blue Saga specifically feels like a very contained beginning to the long journey ahead.

ELECTRIK Ender

If you're planning on watching every episode and doing 5 per week you're looking at a commitment of about 4 1/4 years assuming you don't miss a single week, keep in mind the show is still coming out with new episodes so that number will grow. It's a great show but it's also exhausting at times

Js Turcotte

This is a great show. I recommend watching it with One Pace: https://onepace.net/en It cuts out filler and repeated scenes (like replaying the same running sequence 5–6 times in one episode just to reach 20 minutes). It makes the experience way better, and you’ll catch up about twice as fast. You’ll miss very little, too. 🙂

Jikelz

It's definitely a time commitment; don't let yourself get burned out. As another comment suggested, you might be taking on too much at once, as well as committing years to watching. Please account for how much you are already doing. One Piece would be a great watch, but I would personally recommend waiting until we've exhausted and watched most other mainstream anime that are shorter before we dive in.

Алсу Дамбилова

Please don't watch One Pace, as they recommend here, One Pace is better to watch for those who have already watched and want to refresh their memories
