Keep it up, keep up the theory crafting! just be patient. And yeah, some points: 1. The white whale didn't kill Subaru because when he saw him he thought he was too pathetic to eat. 2. Emilia is also a half elf like witch of envy and she also looks like her,that's why people are super racist towards her and call her a half devil maybe. 3. The anime is based on the light novel, so some stuff got cut. I'd totally recommend checking out the WitchCult Translations site for the missing content after you finish Season 1. Maybe you can even cover it on your livestream? Would answer some of the questions!

This is exactly why I and many others fell in love with re:zero in 2016. Mind you we used to get half of these 50 minute long episodes a week. 24 minutes of suffering every week, where we were just wondering when it'll look up for Subaru.

I think the tough pill to swallow is that Crusch, and basically everyone else as well, are entirely correct in this episode. It's easy for us to be on his side, seeing what Subaru sees, but what they are saying about him is entirely correct.

I mean not entirely they are also flawed characters like subaru, it's just that we don't see their flaws very often because we are seeing this from subarus pov! now I'm not saying they are wrong but if the tables would have turned with them asking subaru for help and he would've done something like priscilla everyone would just hate him like I think everyone is so harsh in critizing subaru with some people saying he's irredemable after ep 13 for having that pride and ego but priscilla literally have that and they still love her and there will always be next episode with most of the media illiterate people crashing out and I'm not saying candidates are wrong because that's the entire point they are right but subaru also isn't wrong in acting like that i mean who wouldn't,I was surprised he was still intact with his brain!

Oh, in terms of ideals, they are obviously wrong. This episode clearly shows why none of them should rule the kingdom. I was talking just about their judgement of Subaru. Obviously "irredeemable" might be too harsh, considering he did redeem himself later. With time travel powers to be fair.
