Request was a challenging one - young, human Mrs. Bapka on her wedding day. She looks a bit like a Slavic Gelfling...but I suppose that's more or less what she is. =PLots of clothing reference used. Slovakian traditional garments are prettier than I've managed to convey here.

I beg to differ, you did one hell of a job on the clothes. The lace detailing is ridiculous. A photo couldn't do the justice you did here.

Could you possibly attach a FULL resolution .png version to this post? Patreon format kills the tiny details that I can tell you slaved over.

Doscher

It's gorgeous, but I'm pretty sure somebody now needs to create a SlavicGelfling gimmick account one of the usual places.

Stares at the details.... I see the details in the details.... jesus it's infinite! Amazing job! GG I definitely see the eastern european fashion, though am wondering if the orange circle is referencing a halo and her purity from much of the religious paintings of the past centuries / millennia.

Fliff

Oh my gosh. She's so adorable.

La Gallagher

This is so detailed, I love it!

Henry Pitts

I'm thinking 1870-1880. I bet color would be awesome.

Brittany Coleman

Gonna latch on to what everyone else said, the details are just stunning! Also does Ms. Bapka have any children she keeps in touch with like Viktor?

Classical Salamander

Hooray! This is simply wonderful, truly lovely <3 Thank you so much! :D

Liina Saarm

Oh, this is wonderful! You have given yourself all kinds of interesting paths in the comic.

LaughingWolf

Oh how lovely she looks. Wonderful Job.

Tracy Butler

Religious imagery is likely where I got the idea from, but it was something I added to the artwork mostly because, as I was starting to add final details, I felt it needed a little something more, compositionally.

Tracy Butler

Sure! I can do that for this and the dragon art too.

That would be lovely. I can tell there are layers of detail in that lace bordering and the headdress that get blurred out by the relatively low Patreon resolution.

If you can't retroactively attach them to this post, a link to a download would be perfect, too.

A Mrs. Bapka backstory spinoff could be interesting! Imagine this tiny Slavic woman voyaging across the Atlantic on a steamer through winter storms, bound for a new life in America. Struggling through crowded streets in New York, eventually making her way by train to the Gateway to the West alongside her newlywed husband.

I know this is a kinda old piece, but getting cultural Slovak representation is super rare, let alone representation that is this well executed, and it makes very happy. Thank you Tracy!
