Ahhh so good and I can’t wait! Btw, I have a question if you don’t mind, I’m sort of still new to the fandom! Anyway, I read the comic, and I know that Mordecia is sort of forced to work with Nicodeme and Serafine, but I’m confused to as why in the shots we’ve seen he sort of tries to kill Rocky and Freckle, when I’ve seen the three of them drawn together interacting in a sort of friendly manor. I know he’s possibly following orders, and maybe it’s out of context, but it was just something I was confused about. Thank you!

In the canon comic, Mordecai formerly worked for Lackadaisy (under Atlas, Mitzi's now deceased husband). He left on bad terms to work for Lackadaisy's primary business rival, Marigold. You may have seen Mordecai and Asa peaceably eating lunch with Mitzi, Rocky and Freckle. Asa was trying to talk Mitzi into leaving the bootleg business behind, warning that otherwise they'd come to blows. There are a lot of mini-comics that depict the characters at an earlier time period (while Mordecai was still with Lackadaisy and working alongside Viktor), which might be the source of confusion. As a general rule, Mordecai's not on friendly terms with anyone, really...but especially not the Lackadaisy crew. Beyond just the gang rivalries, there's some bad blood.

on that backslapping animation, it's kinda difficult to get an immediate read on "what just happened," i feel like just maybe ONE extra frame--or even just holding the frame just after the impact for a little longer--would add a little extra weight and clarity to it.
