With Caroline gone for the night, the apartment goes quiet for a while — but not for long.

Before midnight fades completely, the door opens again and Jennifer (5’7, 150 lbs) steps in, still dressed from the party in her green dress and open sandal heels. Close behind her are the same two friends from earlier — towering Rachael (6’3, 220 lbs) in the middle, and Courtney (165 lbs) in her green dress and black boots.

Laughing and unwinding from the night out, the three of them head straight for the couch without giving much thought to anything else. One by one, they settle in — using the same spot Caroline had only recently vacated. Jennifer drops down first, shifting slightly to get comfortable, the firmness of her heels pressing in before she relaxes her posture.

After a bit of chatter, they start switching places. Rachael moves in next — her added size and height making her presence immediately heavier as she settles her full weight down while leaning back into the cushions. Even as the conversation continues, small adjustments follow — leaning forward, sitting upright again, shifting from side to side — each movement bringing a renewed, lingering pressure before she eventually stands to trade spots with Courtney.

Courtney takes her turn after, the sturdiness of her black boots making every repositioning feel deliberate as she relaxes into place while scrolling through her phone and laughing along with the others.

They continue rotating casually like that for a while — each of them taking a turn sitting, adjusting, settling back in — the late-night wind-down stretching on as their energy from the party slowly fades.

Eventually, the conversation dies down into tired smiles and quiet yawns.

Calling it a night at last, they push themselves up from the couch one by one and head out — leaving the room finally still as the long St. Patrick’s Day comes to an end.
