Well, no spoilers but... I'm already on my third listen of this album today :)

Sorry it took so long to get to this one. No reason for it. Glad I finally sat down with it though. Enjoy that weekend, everyone 🍻

In terms of what you were talking about in the closing thoughts, I feel like this is a symbiotic relationship. I like that we get to suggest albums to you, but I’ve also learned about a ton of music through your suggestions. I’d never listened to ambient before your channel and now I’m a crazy huge fan of the genre. So thanks Bob!

Logan Cobb

I can't believe it took this long to listen to this, I was just thinking the other day about how much you would love it

VibeWithDal

YOOOOO !!!! I wasn’t expecting this I’m gonna watch as soon as I get home

Miguel Garcia

Great video! I hope you can react to Gambino’s music videos, especially This is America!

Jayden Howard

Was the song you were thinking of The Message by Grandmaster Flash?

Jeremy

I also could not believe you hadn't reacted to this yet, it's a great one. As you figured out pretty quick, definitely not hip-hop haha, Donald Glover is playing around with a much funkier palette this time around. Definitely inspired by Parliament and Funkadelic's Maggot Brain as a bunch of other people have pointed out. You gotta love how versatile and curious he is to make stuff in other genres without feeling like he's just paying homage or or is a tourist to the sound, you can tell he really loves this shit and is having fun (even if California was a little too much fun). There are other fun examples of artists dabbling in other genres, some better some worse. If you ever want a funky/R&B easy-listening album again, highly recommend Snoop's BUSH. Warning, I seem to be the only one who actually loves this album haha, it's cheesy but just scratches that itch in the summer. Entirely produced by Pharrell and featuring Kendrick Lamar if that sweetens the deal.

"How do you know what cereal to eat" absolutely cracked me up. Great vid bob

Nailed the fucking album on the first drop “like a psychedelic funk” not knowing this entire album was inspired by the band “Funkadelic” specifically "Maggot Brain" even the album covers are similar

As a spoke person of the old heads association: we are more than okay with you doing the new Vince Staples album tomorrow.

Is the goat going to react to iceman??

Patrick Staub

Can you please do Camp as well!? I feel every reacting account skips over his first album.
