Changes for new members (Patreon)

TLDR: Nothing should change for existing members, only for new ones.

1. Switching the subscription mode

When starting to support me, you will now be charged on the day you subscribed, instead of always on the first of the month.

For a new supporter: if you start on the 15th, the next charge will also be on the 15th of the next month.

This will be (forced) across all of Patreon after November 2024. It's already enabled for my page.

2. Higher prices for new members via iOS

Because of Apple, if you (start to or change) support through iOS Patreon App, you will have to pay 30% more.

It sucks and I personally don't understand how this is in any way legal, but apparently Apple gets to take money from you that isn't actually spent inside an App.

The Patreon Android App and the Patreon website will still have the normal prices.

As far as I know, you can bypass the "Apple Tax" by using those instead.

Again, I'm sorry. There's nothing I could do about this.

If you support anyone else via Patreon (and a lot of other apps on iOS), it's the same.
