IT’S COMPLETE!
Take your time zooming in and appreciating all the little details that I put in. It feels great revisiting these classic Imperium designs and bringing them back into the pages of Humanity Lost. It feels like we haven’t seen much of them for ages, but they’re back with a vengeance. Pieces like this one take a huge amount of time and effort, but they’re totally worth it.
A lot of planning goes into making a two-page spread like this one. From conceptualisation to composition, every step requires planning. I even had to research how an object would look as it exited a wormhole from the side, from the perspective of the viewer. Apparently, because of the way that spacetime is curved around the wormhole, it would appear as though a ship exiting it would be turning a tight corner. I also did research into how it would warp an image behind it and used an application on the European Space Agency website to simulate the wormholes you see in the background, to make them as accurate as I could. I’m no expert, and I’m sure some of my patrons who are more knowledgeable than I can see errors, but I tried, okay? Haha.
This may even end up being the wraparound cover for Volume 3, but we’ll see, because there will be other contenders later on that might win out.
As always, thank you so much for your support. I especially appreciate your patience which allows me to create huge centre pieces for the comic like this one which improve the product overall and give readers moments to flick back to. Having patreons supporting me each month waiting for my next post is a serious motivational driver and keeps me moving the project forward. You guys are the best and I hope that your week is going well, I’ll be back soon with some more Humanity Lost for you all!
