It was my birthday on the 9th and I try to release a new alien out into the Universe of Humanity Lost every year. So happy Birthdalien everyone! These chaps are called the Nullent.

The Nullent:

The Nullent are an extremely pervasive race of vacuumorphs found all across the Milky Way Galaxy, they seemingly have spread themselves out across a vast number of systems over the course of millions of years, they exist in and out of gravity wells irrespective of atmosphere. It is unknown whether these extremophiles are biological or bio-mechanical in nature, only that they have proven be a formidable invasive species. They also seem to communicate psionically like the Imperium and the Tandrax. The Nullent are also notably loyal to no one but their Hive Queens and seem to even be a persistent issue for the imperium at times.

Happy birthday, Cal! The Nullent look terrifying and fascinating! So their jaws are able to pivot forward, right? That's terrifying! Also their long "arms" look like they would be a really terrifying combo with the jaws. Their sensory organs are behind the clear "screen" in their heads? That's fascinating! Great design!

Well how about that, happy birthday!

CallumStephenDiggle

Yeah they can launch/jolt their jaw forwards at incredible speeds. A truly terrifying combo, you wouldn’t want to be set on by one of these guys. Yeah that’s right, their eyes are capable of swivelling around in all directions behind that visor. Thank you as always, Thomas!

How do these things manage to cause the imperium so many problems

Cartoon dinosaur

how do ants cause us so many problems? just because a pest is nowhere near as intelligent as us doesn't make them any less of a problem.

Sheer numbers, you never know where you’re going to run into them. They pick off small imperium outposts but they’re not a threat to them on a whole, they lack the organisation for that. Imagine a surprise attack from a swarm of these things coming out from behind an asteroid, they can do some serious damage to an unsuspecting Imperium Kraken.
