Rigel Regent

I like the perspective from the human. A stranger in a strange land. One of my favourite pages. I like the butcher with the dreadlocks(?).

CallumStephenDiggle

Me too Rigel, me too. I’ll be sure to put more shots like this into volume 2, there’s a market scene that I have planned with even more alien goodness than this one. Ah yes, the Vureii.

Hive Fleet Kaleesh

This is fantastic. So much personality and world building.

What kinda salt is it that Velousians can't handle? I assume it's table salt (NaCl).

Diego

Haha great work! Love how everyone interacts with one another

2026-09-18 21:00 Wow, that is so beautiful! There is even a Pekt <3 <3 <3 I see you added containers. Is their working similar to how divers need oxygen to survive under water, however here is would be the opposite? Love it!

you know what makes me happy? seeing you go from around 300$ A month to 2300$ a month. You vary much deserve the capital to do what you love!!!!

CallumStephenDiggle

Yeah exactly, I figured their physiology would be such that they wouldn’t require a pressure suit. Thanks!!

Knight4d7

I love this so much! So much character in everything, what species are the two very tiny little aliens? One seems to be in a suit. They look so cool. And I like the preacher preaching doom of the “humans” I assume.

Ryan

Please pardon my language but HOLY FUCKING SHIT!

Bruno Barrios

Wow this is amazing world building. When you finish this series and it becomes available in print I'm buying it in a heartbeat. That's a promise, keep up the good work!

FanartIGuess

I’m want to see more romancing of the giant elephant like creatures

CallumStephenDiggle

Thanks so much, Bruno. That’s very reassuring to read because I worry if people read it here that they won’t buy the physical book when it comes out.

CallumStephenDiggle

Thanks!! Oh they’re named the Ounegg, they’re all in suits, they can’t survive in the Chironian environment without one on. The preacher is a Bo, he’s warning the rest of what happened to his people and his world, mentally broken from what he witnessed when the imperium took his homeland.

Jackson Callaway

Honestly the digital version just makes me want to own a print copy even more. It's not the same!

CallumStephenDiggle

Their exoskeleton is extremely sturdy, capable of surviving vacuum for a short period of time, it can support them on land.

Haladrias

fantastic! love all the different species interacting with one another, i love the "they put salt in everything comment!"

Cartoon dinosaur

so a bit like how crabs can support themselves on land even though they live mostly in water?

Miningation

This reply alone suggests the Imperium took over a planet filled with Waldos.

OdinSon_1774

So I have a question. Is Chiron a part of the conglomerate? A lot of the material suggests that its not, just another random planet that happened to be located near Sol and the other powers. But if that's that case then why did the conglomerate attack the humans when they began their activities on Chiron? Were they enforcing some galactic rule of protecting less developed races from exploitation by more advanced ones? Or were they afraid of another rival power like the Kolaxans or the Gords rising up to challenge them and attacked the UEG before they could become a larger threat?

S. Fish

I joined this saga like, three days ago and I am utterly blown away by the detail and skill. Keep up the crazy good work!

Cartoon dinosaur

I believe the conglomerate doesn't allow atrocity's like slavery/Genocide/colonization of occupied worlds when they can help it. in that regard they are better then us right now Cough Cough china's genocide and mass organ harvesting of the Uyghurs Cough Cough

HrskY

Is Chiron tidally locked?

HrskY

Sorry for bad english

CallumStephenDiggle

Hey! No, Chiron’s axis of rotation is tilted at an angle of 21.3 degrees relative to ‘lights’ orbital plane, that is, the plane of Chiron's orbit around its host sun/star.

CallumStephenDiggle

Heckin’ yeah, thanks so much man, I’m glad to have you along for the ride!

CallumStephenDiggle

It isn’t, the conglomerate is a governing body collecting the following races: the Soeus, the The Breimheinians, the Velousian Bladedancers, Ounegg, the Yarkeen and the Pekt. Chiron falls under the jurisdiction of the Galactic Union, a war time organisation set up to unite the races of the Orion arm/spur against the galaxy. I haven’t got round to explaining that in the book yet but I will. That’s exactly right, all of what you just said there was right.

Thomas Rørby Petersen

Hey Cal. Wonderful pages! I love how truly alien you are able to make your, well, ... aliens :)

HrskY

Ok, thanks!

Blaine

This is as cool, if not cooler than the cantina scene in A New Hope. So cool to see all the species together, see the sizes to scale, and my favorite part is the attire! Just the fact that clothes/suits etc are used at all is one of my favorite things about this world. Each page you put out becomes my new favorite, but this one would look great on my wall lol! 10/10 yet again my friend!

Blaine

Jesus man, this is the coolest fucking thing I’ve ever seen. Incredible, this will be required reading in schools one day!

Miningation

Is that blue banner in the top left an Imperium one? It looks like someone has slashed it as well.

CallumStephenDiggle

Heh yeah the cantina scene was a big inspiration for this one, thanks so much mate, I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying all the little details I put in there.

CallumStephenDiggle

Oh that’s the Galactic union emblem, it resembles the scar on Deicides head and hence the cause that he stands for. It’s the eye off the All-mother with a slash across it. Deicide means “to kill a god.”

Emanuel Fuentes

Same. I’d love to have an autographed copy!

OdinSon_1774

Sorry, I have another question about the Kolaxans. I think they've become my favorite race in the series already from the little you've shown already, and I love how you have two of them in this panel and that you put so much effort into distinguishing the individuals. A lot of the time artist will make every single member of a species a carbon copy of the others, down to their clothing, and it's really refreshing to see that other species in the galaxy developed fashion. You've posted that the Kolaxans are a passionate species, with a culture that appeals to love. My question is if the (what I assume) female Kolaxan in this image is a prostitute soliciting the (what I assume) male Kolaxan, or if they are mates that are flirting with each other? I feel like either way would fit into their culture, as a passionate and energetic culture like the Kolaxans might not frown on prostitution or PDA, seeing both as expressions of love.

CallumStephenDiggle

You’re the first person who has said that the Kolaxans are their favourite. Ah thanks a lot mate I’m glad you appreciate the details I put in there. I don’t know if the Kolaxans would even have prostitution practices to be honest, they regard sex as almost like a ritualistic practice, it’s not something that they would sell because it’s almost sacrosanct to them. That’s not to say that they’re prudish or anything though, they regularly endeavour in Roman-esk orgies. Passion, art and war are the Kolaxans mantra.

OdinSon_1774

I'm really the first? I'm really interested in their design, as they come off to me like a race of intelligent roman elephants. Plus they have to be an impressive species to have developed an empire powerful enough to fight the other races of the galaxy by themselves.

CallumStephenDiggle

Yeah you are! That’s exactly what they are haha Roman space elephants

Max Fuller

I love the diversity here

CallumStephenDiggle

Cheers! There’s plenty more to see, I’ve got loads of different scenes like this one planned throughout the series. I have this idea of a uniquely designed space station filled to the brim with all sorts of different species each presenting their unique and vibrant cultures, trading with one another. Because so much territory has been lost to the Imperium, many of these species huddle together in little pockets of refuge.

larry

are there feminists on this planet ?

CallumStephenDiggle

The Chantauri are hermaphrodites, but there are a lot of other intelligent species staying on Chiron and some of them have two sexes with sexual dimorphism. So it follows that there would be some feminists haha.
