Lol! I thought that they were going to meet on a battlecruiser or some kind of dreadnought in some hidden nebula or moon in space. Now I think is a star wars cantina meeting in Tattoine hahaha. Don't get me wrong, I love this page and the design of the building inside the asteroid, I just found funny that it turned very different of what I expected. Keep the good work!

Besides the obvious foreshadowing of the "Anomaly". I think in the top frame we're seeing a mix of Conglomerate and Post Human ships parked across from eachother. I also have a feeling that vertically parked hybrid shuttle is going to be very important in the coming pages.

Do some ships still burn gas for propulsion? I know that there are flux reactors, but those are burn marks under that rocket-looking ship.

It is definitely foreshadowing, all will be revealed in the coming pages, I have some very big scenes planned. Hmm that’s interesting that you should say that but they won’t be particularly important, they’re more background detail if anything.

Sorry I thought I replied to this message but I accidentally just commented on the post itself. Most ships do yes, flux reactors are expensive. But this rocket-looking ship called the Venator uses a quad Flux drive design, so no traditional fuel there. It’s the hero-ship so you’ll be seeing a lot more of it!

Do the Overfathers, AM, etc speak English? I would find it weird if AM decided to make her own language.

That is a very interesting question. AM is an AI and all the soldiers look like some kind of insects. I don't believe normal "speak" would be something useful for them. I think that an AI like AM would use something similar to radio waves (speed of light) while using some english-based programming language. However, I don't know if someone asked this before, it is just my opinion.

When they speak verbally they speak a lingua franca similar to modern day English, you have to remember that in this world, hundreds of years had passed between now and the activation of the All-mother. Language changes over time, so they’re speaking this kind of U.E. newspeak version of English. But for the purposes of this comic I’ve written it all in the queen's english, otherwise things would just get wayyy too confusing for the reader. You can just imagine travelling back to 1750 and trying to have conversation with someone, it’d be pretty hard going by modern standards. regardless of that being said, information is most commonly disseminated through the imperium psionically. This is a much faster way of communicating and you don’t have to be within earshot of the disseminator of information. within the overfathers galactic union however English is commonly spoken, they try to be custodians of what is left of Humanity and they also do it for Lostés comfort. Though they do also use psionics for efficiencies sake.
