Great art

Decide is the Bosmang.

Albert Luttig

Is that an "the expanse" reference Remember the Cant

Haladrias

damn dude! nice ship! i love how it is orientated. Plus you do well with the interior view!

OpSihg_Stabr

I love spaceship cross-sections! I have a weird feeling that this thing is an "Old Earth" vessel, or it could just be the "Hard Sci-Fi" style the tech of all the stuff of "Humanity Lost" has.

Zoey Nightlight

Dude this is so cool! What the hell, there's so much detail and so many floors!! Also as other people pointed out, this looks human made (Normal humans).

Marcos

Absolutely amazing! I like this kind of pictures on star wars ships and now here. I wonder where is waldo?

Miningation

Frantically searching for the Psionic Deprivation Chamber for several minutes now.

Miningation

Found it. Yellow sphere-looking thing with the metal donut around it.

S. Fish

Buckle up for safety!

Dublin Anondson

Imma be sad if Deicide doesn’t get a sick prosthetic 😭

Mark Temple

Can see that. Perhaps kept around for interactions between deicide's faction and the non-human factions, since the human biotech ships probably seem too much like the enemy hardware for comfort, and likely arent easily supported by non-biotech societies.

House Hendoe

Awesome cross section! *did my previous comment get deleted? If so was it because I put a link in it?

Mann Tau

Thank god the chair is just far away from the wall for him to sit down with his knee spikes

Cartoon dinosaur

man this is just great! I LOVE that you don't design ships just for there exterior shape. you also add interiors that at least at a passing glance look like a real ship!!!

OpSihg_Stabr

I was thinking that was the spaceship's Reactor / Power Engine, a Fusion Reactor or some such (the strong hints of Hard Sci-Fi made me thing "Yes that is a Fusion Reactor torus/tokomak). But now that you mention it, it doesn't connect with rest of the ship in in quite the right way for that. It actually looks like what I would imagine in a Black Mesa (Half-Life) or SCP Foundation laboratory / test-chamber.

Jesse James

Nice, reminds me of a DK cutaway book

Shawn Bond

The rebels are escaping!

Isaac Solar

Im thinking that Ourighadd will probably wake up and then wherever he is will not be strong enough to hold him. Or maybe they will tamper with his mind to keep him from waking up, part of me thinks they would treat him as "ADDITIONAL POWER SOURCE", while holding him in place like a pet lol

CallumStephenDiggle

Oh I’m not sure, I certainly don’t delete any comments. What was it a link to?

CallumStephenDiggle

Interesting string of comments there, yes I can confirm that the donut looking thing is indeed the psionic deprivation chamber.

CallumStephenDiggle

Thanks so much! Yeah I’ve oriented it like a building so when it’s under the constant force of acceleration it holds the illusion of gravity.

CallumStephenDiggle

That’s an interesting take and also a great comment by mark too. but no, this is a velousian Bladedancer vessel. Most of the alien vessels look somewhat similar to what you could imagine our descendants constructing. It’s just convergent design if you will, building for the extreme environment of space often leads to similar engineering solutions.

CallumStephenDiggle

Thanks so much Zoey! I does look that way yes, but it’s actually of alien origin. Velousian to be precise. It’s just a product of convergence of design.

CallumStephenDiggle

That was actually my primary inspiration haha I used to love those books as a child. Heh well, Waldo’s extinct 😂

CallumStephenDiggle

Thanks a lot! Yeah I think it’s nice when you get a shot like this of a ship because then you can follow the characters around from room to room and get a feel for where shouts they are on the ship. Makes it feel like a real place a bit more and less like a drawing.

animanatole

Very aesthetic cross-section! That's a huge payload, the engines must very efficient I presume?

Andre Martins

Cutaway! Yay-yo!… All the good above, great work.

S. Fish

Can't get OSHA involved 😱😱😱

Zoey Nightlight

I'll add one more thing to why that donut is the deprivation chamber, we can see Ourighadd being put into it.

Alternate

If you zoom in you can see computer screens so I'm pretty sure it's more like a security room.

CallumStephenDiggle

Hey Henry, no, the Psionic deprivation chamber is the donut looking thing on the second floor.

CallumStephenDiggle

The ship is powered by four FLUX drives on each of the engine units so there’s no need for a huge amount of the ship being dedicated to fuel storage. I also picked aero spike like engines because they have a wider effective range than most other engines from sea-level to vacuum.

Miningation

What’s left of him lol.

Miningation

He kneels in a previous page as well. Imagine him just being supported by his knee spikes and feet.

Blas Borde

Funny, I thought that looked like a fusion reactor. Do psyonics suffer interfernerence from magnetic fields and the like?

Ismail

The fact that straight-up space magic exists makes it even cooler that the vessel is still aligned for more down-to-earth acceleration "gravity". Really tickles me the right way.

CallumStephenDiggle

Haha I get kinda triggered by artificial gravity and non-Humanoid aliens in science fiction, but surprisingly spiritualism or telepathy isn’t really something that gets on my wick. I definitely preferred in the original trilogy of starwars when the Jedi were legitimately tapping into some conception of the divine or transcendent with the force, rather than just being able to access it because of their midichlorian count.

Ismail

I share the sentiment. Artificial gravity often feels like a left-over narrative convenience (mostly from live-action; easier to film if the actors can just stand on normal sets), which gets dragged along out of sheer cultural inertia. Once this started to bother me, I can't really stop noticing when convenient gravity is not really necessary.
