Hello everyone!

I’m going to start work on the next page but once again, I doubt I’ll be able to get it done before the weekend, so expect the next page on Monday.

I had a lot of fun with the colours on this one, it’s very much inspired by the colour palette in Akira. Anyway, I hope you all have a great weekend and I’ll see you soon with some fresh art!

The mech has a bazooka. Why dose the mech need a bazooka? Also that person has many arms. Good work. Interesting to still see pre imperium.

Unraveler

umm... How many hands does this guy has?

CallumStephenDiggle

Why doesn’t the mech need a bazooka! Just equipping the thing with a weapon like that is a great form of deterrent control/physical security. He does! Thanks, there’s a lot more of it I’d like to show off, but I’ll have to leave that to a dedicated sequel comic. I’d quite like to tell a short story during the Human-Conglomerate war.

Isaac Solar

oh my god i didnt notice

Those are some unique facial expressions

CallumStephenDiggle

That’s quite a broad category, but yes! In this universe he’s a type of transhuman called a Mod.

Shawn Bond

Damn…I missed the part with many arms! 😂

Shawn Bond

Sweet panel! A LOT of foreshadowing to what will come when Loste wakes from his long sleep. I really like the reflective, retroflective…whatever it’s called, I like it 👍. I’m down for Lunarian women, too 😁

Shawn Bond

Actually, having him land on the car makes sense. Looking at the deformation of the car body, I could hand wave that they’ve developed polymer that is intended to deform and spread impact energy throughout the skin and then solidify back up. Kinda like impact gel.

Patrick Perkins

I'm registering too many arms and I LIKE it. Will the character have an anatomically correct extra set of pectoral muscles to support the extra arms?

Isaac Solar

You know, i figured it kind off adds to the theme that this is pre-imperium time, more human-esque appearances to express, while it looks weird it could be the last remnants of humanity we can ever see! Sad and comforting.

Isaac Solar

losté gonna be sad he can never see wamən anymore

The fact the All-Mother has access to the Gene Splicing data for Hexapodal Elf Humans and doesn't mass the produce the sh*t out of them. Is by itself all I need to kill the b!t€h what a wasted resource.

The flying drones on top remind me of C.M Kosemens alien species the Qu.

CallumStephenDiggle

I love All Tomorrow’s! I can’t really see the resemblance there, but thank you ☺️

CallumStephenDiggle

Heh heh thanks. He will indeed! Though you won’t see him without his big jacket on.

CallumStephenDiggle

Thanks so much Shawn! Yeah there’s lots of groundwork being laid here for future issues. Thanks, yeah I enjoyed working with the reflective surfaces like puddles in this piece, it was really interesting for me working with light in this way. I mean, who isn’t 😉

Shawn Bond

Totally makes sense. If it’s memory plastic (harkening to Larry Niven’s Known Space) apply proper voltage and the material aligns back into its baseline shape.

damn this page whips
