I figured I’d also give a little update as to how the writing is going.

It’s going extremely well.  I wrote two whole issues yesterday in a flow state, I just have to go back in again and look at it in finer detail. The finer details being individual conversations and the composition of certain scenes. I think I will be able to start with the actual art for Volume two very soon, most likely early next week. So, fingers crossed it won’t be long before there’s some fresh HL pages for you to look at.

I also just want to say thank you to you all for being so patient.

Just A Guy

This might be unsafe for our decide since the arm can easily rip off again by other all fathers !

cubirk

holy molly 2 issues in a day??

Gilbert Hangel

So many spikes, but regrowing an arm ist not possible? :D

Corplos

You probably didn’t recognize me because of the red arm.

CallumStephenDiggle

It’s possible, but he’d need to take a trip to his wombworld and that’s a bit out of the way for where our heroes are headed.

CallumStephenDiggle

Cheers Richard, that was the idea. You might be onto something there 😉

Miningation

How did Deicide get that scar on his face? Or will this be revealed later? (If so don’t tell)

CallumStephenDiggle

The next issue will actually show how he got that scar in a flashback sequence!

Davide

Deicide has a new arm and a stylish cape, what a drip! it's just an idea, but he could regrow his arm if he absorbs a member of the Imperium with the same technique of his son Uthipidus

Davide

No! i wanted to say it :)

Collapsing Society

Your the only reason i have patreon. I have to say ive never been more invested in a piece of entertainment. I hope you dont stop after this story it would be a shame.

Isaac Solar

Don't you worry bro. We can wait and be patient when you release the issue pages, don't tire yourself out materializing each page, every page is worth the time 🙂.

Isaac Solar

I have some questions about Deicide: If he is an overfather, does he have his own wombworld? If he had a wombworld, why were there less of his units in chiron deployed? And why was he in chiron in the first place?

CallumStephenDiggle

He does have a Wombworld yes, the majority of his forces are defending that world, any excess forces that are available are deployed wherever the Galactic Union need them to be. There’s a standing territorial force on Chiron defending the ringed city of Pelion, but the majority of his forces are off-world. Deicide is in Pelion because that’s the capital of the Galactic Union and it’s the location where he holds office.

CallumStephenDiggle

You’re the best, thanks for being so understanding. My goal is to have the first page out on Monday or Tuesday but we’ll see.

CallumStephenDiggle

That was really nice to read, thank you. I actually have major plans for a fantasy series I’ve been working on for years now, I’m going to reveal that after the conclusion of Humanity Lost. So don’t worry, I won’t stop, I’ve got too many things I want to make!

CallumStephenDiggle

I have it as part of the canon that Overfathers require a visit to their wombworld to regrow limbs and repair their armour. Uthipidus is no where near as powerful as an Overfather, he’s a different thing altogether. Uthipidus has limited psionic potential and no capacity for telekinesis, but he does have that rapid matter transmutation ability.

Isaac Solar

So Losté a.k.a. Sam just happen to be at the right place at the right time. Wow, talk about luck, since he just gets sent off by the wizard like some cannon fodder

Ryan

Damn he’s looking absolutely dope

Davide

very cool concept for the Overfathers and Uthipidus, you're doing a great job developing volume 2, keep it up!

Patrick Perkins

I'm imaging this new arm being very heavy—it almost looks like it would overbalance him. What material is it made out of? Is is much lighter than it looks?

CallumStephenDiggle

Yeah I see what you mean, I imagine the bio-armour he is already sporting being quite heavy, perhaps they’re around the same weight. I haven’t really considered specifically what material the robotic arm is made us, but I imagine it’s some sort of advanced alloy.

BoiseGang Gaming

I almost didn't recognize him because of the red arm.

Jon-Laurence deCespedes

Callum, Perhaps someone has already asked this, but are you familiar with the Image (comics) revival of Prophet that ran from 2012-2017? It was such a magnificent world-building exercise but seemed like the ending was rushed and thus i always felt unfulfilled. Your work comics the same sense of adventure and wonder whilst portraying the perspective of the protagonist waking up in a future controlled by a eusocial/intergalactic post-humanity. If you aren't familiar with it, i definitely suggest that you check it out.

CallumStephenDiggle

Hello Jon! I’m familiar with the comic yes, I love it so very much. Humanity Lost is sort of a successor or child of the prophet reboot. I started making it because I was hungry for more stories in the vein of Prophet and there just weren’t any out there. Like you, I was also dissatisfied with the finale of Prophet, but I feel like Prophet was always a sort of itterative story that they were writing as they went along. Prophet is more about the journey than the destination I feel, and the journey is great! Hopefully I stick the landing ey 🤞🏻I have the whole thing planned out with a definitive ending, so I think you’ll enjoy what I have planned for the narrative.
