if anyone Is wondering, the reason Belfast has one eye is because I’ve modelled him on the ancient Celtic deity Lugh.

The reason why losté is laughing is because after so many years of advance technology, Belfast chose a form that is opposite and uncanny for the theme, like a greek god cosplayer in a bar.

I really like the concept that a AI would have a God Complex with it ranging from emulating the Superficial, Belfast, to being Skynet's Crazy Evangelical Sister, The All-Mother. Use to watch a Scifi called Andromeda. That I wish explored this aspect of its AI characters instead of increasing the humanization of them.

I thinks it’s as a result of being a disembodied consciousness with the ability to choose your appearance. If you could choose the way you look, you’d most likely tend towards a jungian archetypal form of a deity, because those forms are based on the somewhat eternal human perception of beauty. Why, if you had the choice, would you tend towards anything other than beauty? I think this is why Belfast chose this “god-like” archetypal form.

Yeah Celtic mythology is so fascinating and brutal at times, but also very whimsical. It’s definitely worth checking out if you have an inkling of an interest. There are many parallels between Norse and Hellenic mythology, things like the All-father and the sky-father motifs for gods and there are many parallels between the tales themselves also. The Fortress of Lugh YouTube channel is a good place to start if you want to know more.

CSD, agreed thats why I referred to Belfast as having a Superficial one. Kind of like how you have Cosplay that has it's "Just Do it Once" to "We Really Superheroes, Let's Fight Crime" sides with everything else in between. Belfast likes the Swag, All-Mother the power over Creation. Also I like the Viking vs Celt God thing you have going on with the AI's. Uniting the rival tribes to repel the encroaching fleet of Longships from their shores.
