it’s probably AM propaganda to make thought-lords seem like this ideal state of ascension when really they’re weak and decaying inside the sarcophagus. it almost looks like it’s ceramic or something judging by the way it broke into shards

Hm, but what does all- mother have to do with propagqnda when she has already full control? I'd be more efficient to just make them very capable instead of weak. Like.. maybe make another living organic overfather suit for a dying overfather, to make it more powerful I guess 😅?

Overfather vs Iron man without psionic powers, who would win? Also when we first saw Deicide when he was telepathically communicating with Loste he was BIG, for a while I thought Deicide was 20 feet tall. Does a stronger user of psionics appear physically bigger when communicating using it?

Probably Iron man, he has the advantage of flight and long range weapons whereas an Over-Father without use of psionics lacks range, if the Over-Father could get hold of Tony then the story might go differently. As for those early psionic messaging sequences, it was really just to impose the grandeur and importance of Deicide as a character. It was also to signify that Losté is a comparatively small mind that is unused to the method of communication, whereas Deicide is a tremendous intellect that is adept at psionic communication.

He’s a kickass character, you’ll see a few more of his feats coming up in this flashback. I won’t spoil anything though 🤫 the Sarcophagus is about 2 inches thick at its thinnest point, some areas are thicker. They certainly are, they’re like a Wizard or a mage from dungeons & dragons. A tough opponent when at a range, but not so much when that distance is closed.

A battle with Iron man might go differently if Deicide picks up an object and throws it at just the right time.

addressing Isaac here: not for Over-Fathers. and I’ve been wondering the same thing about making them capable, they obviously have the ability to repair themselves on their womb worlds, but I assume it is either 1: AM intentionally keeps them ageing so they don’t live long enough to discover the truth, or 2: it has something to do with how much the mind can handle. i am favouring theory 1 here as an OF/TL brain is very expansive due to their psionic abilities

Theory 1 makes sense, I forgot they can live long enough that they can gather information on their own, and they also can't just be eliminated, or disposed off, that would bring too much doubt, so some symbolic ascension to a new state of being is the way to go.

I wonder if a Great Kraken could submerge itself underwater. We could rip off Atlantis: The Lost Empire by having the Bo hiding in an ice shell moons subsurface ocean and getting attacked by an Imperium warship underwater.

Rereading this, I think this is the first time I've seen a character who that actually uses the pointy pits on their armour for more than intimidation.

I’m going a bit wild with the colours, but it’s a lot of fun. Thanks, I figured that out a few pages ago and now I’m using it all the time. It’s a useful bit of comic language to depict movement.
