A Look at Day 9 (Patreon)

Here is a little look into what I have been working on for day 9. Day 9 provides the first real look at the character of Elizabeth Greene, AKA Aunt Liz. There is a scene on the morning of day 9 where she calls Rick at home and he answer's on speaker so that everyone present can talk with her. One of the first things I wanted to do for this scene was create an image of her to be used as Rick's contact photo for her since the phone screen is visible in some shots.

I separated out the UI elements from the call screen texture that came with the phone prop and overlayed them on top of this image to create the new texture applied to Rick's phone screen.

I also wanted to have the conversation occur in split screen so that both sides of the conversation could be seen at once, so I posed and rendered both sides of the conversation and composited the images together in Pixelmator. You can see a couple images that will be in the next version below.

I'm continuing to work on day 9 content, and will preview some more next week.
